But deep in our hearts, in that place we all dread and don't want to look, we all fear...it will be safeties
Flashes? 225 catches in his first 3 seasons is a bit more than flashes IMO.Very nice. This guy has shown flashes and has the genes. The great Jerry Rice's cousin.
He's 25!!!Does he have the legs to create separation anymore?
Not sure he makes it out of training camp!
A bit surprised why others tend to hate on him. Before last season, he was averaging 800-900 yards a season, which is very good for a young receiver!Flashes? 225 catches in his first 3 seasons is a bit more than flashes IMO.
No thanks. Much rather have Matthews.Eric Decker is still out there.
from Reiss:
Reviewing parts of the 2015 Patriots-Eagles game, when Matthews had a 10-yard touchdown catch, I could have made the case that he was as much of a “move tight end” as a receiver. Wearing No. 81, he reminded me a little bit of former Patriots tight end Tim Wright (also No. 81) in terms of being almost a cross between receiver and tight end.
FYI he didn't even get 300 yards in Buff but he was hurt.
Your wish is Bill's command. No thanks. Much rather have Matthews.
I always liked Matthews, if he can stay healthy, he can make a difference. Looks like we are going big and fast instead of small and fast. Patterson 6’3 runs a 4.42, Matthews is 6’3” runs a 4.46, Britt is 6’3” (not sure what he runs).
At this point, I can’t see the Pats drafting a WR this year. Edelman, Hogan, Mitchell, Dorsett, Britt, Matthews. Add in practice squad receivers McCarron and Hollister fighting for a roster spot. Very deep at WR. Sure, some question marks injuries wise, but camp is gonna be so competitive at the WR spot. I want DaeSean Hamilton from Penn State, probably a perfect Edelman replacement in a few years. But I can’t see them drafting a WR.
He is alot slower than Cooks
Seems pretty clear that BB won't draft a WR in this draft, at least early on. I would prefer to use the first two picks on defense or LT.
Who’s been pretty bad his whole career? Matthews? He's been pretty bad his whole career but I guess we're in full spin mode again at Patsfans dot com because the Patriots threw a dart at a guy who may or may not make the team.
