Good day Cousins,
Yeas it's SB Sunday. Meh.....Great day to hit the forum.
Great breakfast to start the day. The smell is fantastic. A Finnish pancake which is like a buttery custard filling that melts in your mouth. It is infused with whole blackberries (some tart to cut the sweetness) and real maple syrup added to your liking. Then we have some slightly well done sausage links for your further breakfast enjoyment. I topped that off with hot cocoa today and cranberry/berry juice. You will want more than one serving.

There will be other "TRADE-A-RAMAS", so if you want to stay just for breakfast that's fine by me. I do this for pleasure and intrigue, not to offend.

DISCLAIMER: The stats and info are studied so these proposals are valid.

PATS NEED: DT

DRAFT POSITION TRADE -Titans. Saints
Pats trade pick #4 to NO . For the Saints, if Hunter and Carter are taken by the Titans and Browns they have a shot at Sanders if they trade with the Pats. To get there they surrender pick #9 in the 1st, pick #40 in the 2nd round and pick #130 in the 4th round.A little steep but the QB tax is in effect.

Now the Titans are not sold on the top two QBS and need more. Most on this forum giggle but Joe Milton might have been ranked the third best .......and he has NFL tape. The Titans can opt for Hunter or Carter and still get a QB if they trade with the Pats. Milton could be the QB in training for the Titans. The Titans have some CAP issues and Simmons want to play for Vrabel. He's only 27.

The Pats gain picks and DT Jeffrey Simmons. Now pick #9 for Will Campbell seems like a pretty good position. There woll be more FA stuff, Don't worry.

PATS NEED: WR
The Niners would like to move Deebo but want picks, The Niners had an off year and son did Deebo but he's only 29(same age as Moss when we got him). Offer the Niners one of our 4ths(#130) and restructure his contract. It might not have been our 2024 WR room was bad, there was just no play-makers. Deebo is the playmaker that Teams have to account for.

I am not through. Kupp for pick #77. No explanation. A security blanket for Maye.

Here comes the one that will set some of you on fire. Her is maybe not a true WR but neither is Kelce. We are going to lose Hooper more than n likely. Shocker.......Mark Andrews? There has been rumblings. He's only 29. He is listed as TE but can play in the slot or outside, #131 and........... The Ravens need a Strong Safety so Hamilton can go back to his natural FS position. So Kyle Dugger goes to the Ravens He kind of fits with them doesn't he? Ravens have some CAP issues.

I'd love Higgins, but we don't have a shot. $30+million. You can get Deebo and Andrews for close to that.

OK I would like Cam Robinson OT, Malcom Koonce Edge recovering from knee, Jevon Hollnad who could be our trues center fielder Chavaruis Ward (good CB) and three under the radar, DJ Humpries (back up OT) , Chase Young Edge (this might be his year) and he's a Ohio State kid and yes........ bring back Judon.....why not?.

Maybe the best for last Najee Harris. Upgrade.

Yep. Wish I hadn’t read this so late. I am just going to have to lie here hungry now.

Sorry DW, I hate it. Loading up on old players is the opposite of what they should be doing. Keep the players and picks and build the OL and DL. Then add the rest.

Edit:I actually like the first half, but hate the 2nd half. The Patriots could take Ty Warren, and then move back into the first with the extra picks to get Josh Conerly.

The trade Milton to the Titans is a good idea, I just doubt they would do it.

Cousin, I love your idea of Tyler Warren. He's not Gronk but he might be. close.

Pats TE were among league leaders at 113 receptions for 1156 yards. Maye went to them if he wanted to extent a play or was in trouble. There blocking was....meh. But I am sure Hooper will get a good offer to levee. in FA. Now Bell could develop but it's not trending that way. In the mean time Warren is still a top ten player in this Draft.REC. 104 · YDS. 1,233 · TD. 8 · AVG. 11.9.
He is not locked into just the TE role but splits ala Gronk. He can block better than Hooper or Henry.

GET WARREN......OR?

So there are three scenarios that I see.
1) The Pats can trade with Las Vegas. for their #6 and pick up another 3rd Rounder #68. Pull the trigger on Warren unless Mason Graham is still there

2)Trade with the Saints at pick #9.. Gain 2nd Round pick #40 and 4th round pick #130 (QB sales tax)

3) Trade with Seattle and this is the "brick smasher" (new words) and trade for their #18 for our #4 and our 4th at #105 for Metcalf. Why not? Warren might be gone but we get a #1 WR. The caveat is the Hawks take Milton rather than the 4th.

These picks are not Madden. The numbers work. Metcalk will have to eat a little crow but Geno is not the answer for the Hawks.

I love the trade back in the first to get extra picks for a team interested in a qb. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Pats could also get a future pick back in a move like that.

I’m completely in for trading for Jeffrey Simmons.

I think a third for Kupp and a fourth for Deebo are more than it would cost. I’m in favor of adding either but I’d hope the price wasn’t that steep.

@DW Toys had me at the intro. As always excellent. Can’t say I’ve never not wanted to eat what you’ve posted…oh, the other stuff looks good too. Hard to take your mind off the intro and stop drooling tho. Bit distracting…

Metcalfs contract is up I believe after this season and he hasn’t put up great numbers the last few years. Seahawks aren’t getting anything close to the value you listed for him.

Did you finish the pancake?

I’ll let myself out

A trade back seems likely at this point. LT is our biggest need and we should still be able to land Banks or Campbell at pick 6 or 8.

From what I hear Tet McMillan isn't 'the guy' at #4. He would have to be the next Mike Evans to be worth it but there's lots of concerns about his separation.

I also don't mind the idea of trading down to the teens to pick up extra second rounder, then take a WR like Golden, Burden, or Egbuka. Then trade back up in bottom of 1st for more of a red chip LT like a Simmons, Connerly, or Ersery.

If we can address two needs in round 1, We should be doing pretty well for ourselves. And we'd still have a second from trading down to pick BPA, which might be the best run stuffing DT left on the board.

Has there ever been a draft this weak? Hopefully this year being weak is just due to covid and things will get better....

weak in terms of blue chip talent yes. But it is reportedly super deep in Defense tackles. We could find a starter from a day 2 or 3 pick if we draft wisely,

What VJC comments on is well true Cousins as far as blue chip players.
My super breakfast this weekend was Hobo Pancakes. Five or ten minutes to finish. We don't need any stinkin' pancake ingredient boxes.
Delicious!. Just two eggs, three large table spoons of flour (more?), a quarter of of tablespoon of sugar, a pinch of sea salt, a table spoon of vanilla, about two ounces of whole milk or creme and then the secret ingredient...........You can't carry cooking oil out in the field, we use two substantial pats of butter and put them in a pan to liquefy them. Mix up your ingredients and pour them over the pan of the butter "gravy".

The result is a thin pancake with a consistency of cookie dough. These are a hearty pancake. Stick to your ribs.
Now add some real maple syrup and a mug of hot chocolate (coffee?) and you have some pancakes you can make in five-ten minutes flat.

We need to sign an OT we know that. What about the whole left side of the whole Ravens "O" Line with Stanley ...and now get Patrick Mekari (only 27). This is unique. I have thought about this and they have worked together and can continue on the Pats. ............Continuity. Now get Higgins and what are your thoughts on Pratt? Our LB core rots right now. Just an odd situation with the Ravens roster.

We can afford them all. Many of those "blue chip".
Thoughts?

Samuel is not Moss (even at the same age). He's taken a beating being used as a RB as much as he has. I wouldn't give up any pick, let alone picks for him. By the way, I do appreciate the thought that you put into the Thread.
