Yeah and Monty often fits the often injured role too.
I'm utterly baffled by the Ty fixation so many people here seem to have. I mean...ONE season 8 years ago when he had more than 200 yards receiving and more than 300 yards rushing. His average season is 124 yards receiving and 130 yards rushing. What exactly is the attraction?

The mismatches he brings as a situational player. He is a versatile tool in the arsenal. Not to mention the way he looks with the ball in his hands when healthy. Which unfortunately has not been often...

That doesn't seem to have worked out very well for him so far in his career.

I believe it's the impact that he can have and the mis match he provides. Plus we haven't had a guy to do what he does since sweet feet. If healthy wich is a big IF.. he could be a dynamic weapon on 3rd down in this BOB offense

With the addition of Zeke I would prefer to let Monty walk. You have a solid vet backup who can play all 3 downs, a 3rd stringer with game breaking speed in Strong, and a power back in Harris. I want to see the young guys develop and the best way for that to happen is to get meaningful reps here and there.

Now THAT's the look of a True Professional.

I think it depends on the health of Montgomery, there's a pretty good chance the team carries 4 RB's going into week 1. I know Monty is listed at WR but we know he fills that 3rd down back role.

Yep; why should Anything have to depend on Monty? He just needs to go, and stay gone; time to give others a chance.

Did we forget about this one? Ezekiel Elliot pulls down a girls shirt and exposes her. This guy is a real piece of schiit. Consistent with Christian Peter, Jack Jones, Aaron Hernandez and the numerous other scofflaws who've spent time at Route One in Foxboro....

If Krafty Bob has an ounce of integrity he will renege this signing - unless he thinks this is OK

Do I need to bring my Sarcasm Detector to the shop?

The people that keep hyping Montgomery up clearly did not watch him in GB. The Packers converted him from WR to RB out of desperation and he was terrible.

Yeah I really don't get it at this point. Montgomery played in one game last year and we haven't really seen him this summer either. The last time he even combined for 200 all purpose yards was 2019. He is 29 years old and even at his peak he was an above average receiving back. The guy is a fringe NFL player that people seem to think will move the needle for us this year.

The mismatches he brings as a situational player.
For a player that has averaged 3 carries (5 yds per carry) and 2 receptions (7 yds per rec.) during his injury prone 10 yr career, exactly when has this mismatch specialist optimized his supposed talents?
He is a versatile tool in the arsenal.
The Musket Men in the endzone have more formidable arsenal "tools"
Not to mention the way he looks with the ball in his hands when healthy.
Now you're talking Bill's language

And or put both in the backfield and force the D to account for Gisecki, Henry, Parker, Thornton, Rham and Zeke that really spreads the field horizontally and vertically height wise. ****, hate to throw it in there, but what if they do put in a red zone package for Malik.

Thats a lot of **** for a DC to account for.
Only problem is you got 12 guys there

Yeah figured one back and TE are interchangable. Meant to have a slash there. Just tossed them in more of options.

Could of worded it better.

Just bad math. Your points are well-taken , though.
The mismatches you were pointing out will be there, just with one fewer guy

Sort of. Like I said meant to put a slash in there but either way. Potato pahtata

Stunned they actually pulled the trigger. I guess 3 million to see what he has left is fairly cheap though. Hopefully he's good enough where he makes 6 though

Damian Harris is about $1.8m I think. Zeke around $3m. Ok.

Yeah like Gesicki/Henry,
