If it were just Brady then the running game should be able to perform at or near the same level as last year. Instead, both the running and passing games are down about 10% from last year. That's in spite of playing an easier schedule this year than last.
So what's the reason? The answer to me is obvious when I look at the differences on the roster from this year to last. This year they're playing without contributions from LT, C, TE and FB.
And yet, the Pats are 10-3 with their only losses being to playoff teams and with two of those on the road. They also made a run to come back in two of the losses. If anything we should be giving Brady and Belichick awards for getting the team to this point.
Not out of the realm of possibility. To put it simple, if they get the first round bye all they have to do is win 2 games to make it to the superbowl. Two outstanding game plans and a little execution could go a long way.
Time for new glasses for you?I am sorry it's so true. Jealousy and insecurity, while pointing out Brady does not get to skate, is a bad ad combo for the Apologist crowd in their Brady jerseys.
We’ve seen it for years. Brady is not above reproach and BB has to battle to make sure that stays true.
Newhouse is not playing anymore so you can’t just keep pulling the covers over your head ignoring the real problems (not using the rbs and 2 back sets enough, staring down Edelman in obvious double coverage, bad and late decisions, reckless throws and unwilling to move his feet in the pocket).
You know, the usual bad habits he has when this stuff bubbles up in a season.
Because it is not new.
Here’s another one. Could not be any more insecure as he refuses to have a simple discussion.
Anger with every keystroke and 4 word mumbo jumbo response. lmao
Is that supposed to be, like, a joke or something? The best development out of this frustrating season is that Harry looks like he’s going to be a stud.
Lmao, people who come in here lecturing everyone and spouting their expertise and insider knowledge have fared really well over the years. Keep it up.
Is that supposed to be, like, a joke or something?
Honestly, all this handwringing over the "deeper" elements of the game - Brady's trust in his young receivers, their ability to anticipate what he's thinking, the lack of cohesion along the O-line, Josh's gameplanning, the talent/experience at the skill positions, etc. - is all well and fine. But, for probably the last month and a half, the combination of dropped passes and missing open throws is responsible for probably some 7-8 incompletions a game. Those stat lines would look a lot different provided, if nothing else, simply the execution of throwing and catching a ball was better. (I suspect much of this may depend on the health of Brady's elbow and Edelman's knee.)
