Love the comparison. In some respects, this Patriots team could be compared to he 1968-69 Celtics, the end of the 11 championships in 13 years span. They finished 48-34, 4th in the conference but gutted out the playoffs on their way to another championship when everyone counted them out as too old, too broken down and past their prime.. This may be the last run but the heart of a repeat champion knows what it takes to win.......
KC is a talented team. HOU is good. BUF is gritty. BAL is playing with a ton of confidence and swagger. What do they have in common? None of them have won a damn thing.
Knowing what it takes to win in the playoffs is a huge advantage. Team still need to execute and win matchups but when it's the 4th quarter handling the pressure (both players and coaches) means winning and losing.
KC barfed on their shoes last year. So did JAX a couple of years ago. Chargers, ATL, BAL blew a 2 TD lead twice! Lambs in the SB...the list goes on and on of talented teams that seized in the clutch.
