Was at a big viewing party
We knew we were going to lose
But the place was rejuvenated with Maye showing some talent
There was optimism about the future
Yes he made mistakes. With this ****hole of an offense. That was expected
But all we wanted to see was promise. And he showed us that

That throw in the 4th qtr to Bouttee was a rope. Maye went through multiple progressions under pressure, and it looked like he was a pitcher in baseball throwing a fastball right down the middle.

Not many NFL QBs can do that.

On the other hand, you're picking at the very top of every round: 34, 68, 92.

You simply cannot blow it by picking Polk, Wallace and Robinson.

I'm thinking about replacing the OC over the summer and also the front office.
From what i saw the last qb to zip the ball around like maye did was brady. He looked like he was in control, he threw passes with zip effortlessly into tight spots, and that 40 yard td throw was a thing of beauty

Who is #22 with the whiff of a tackle? Marco Wilson?

And Christian Gonzalez looked to be dogging it a bit in pursuit.

Defense is regressing. We need another tall, athletic boundary corner.

Gonzo didn't have a good game, maybe he's under the weather, let's hope so and he comes back strong.

I truly enjoyed this loss I see a lot of hope Today.

I don't really get the hate on the defense, Outside of the 1st drive and the 2 long runs the Texans had I thought they were alright, got dealt a bad hand because from where the offense turned the ball over. 1st drive they got ticky-tacked or would have held them to 3. Mixon had that long run but Mapu had that PD that Jones got the pick off of 2 plays later so they made up for that and then the last TD run. Tough on the defense when Texans offense goes only 49 combined yards and gets 17 points off 3 turnovers. Hypothetically don't make those turnovers and you are looking at Texans only scoring 24.

Good point, the Offense put them in a bad position.

I would have Thornton play instead of Bourne . He's practically useless.
Not too sure about that! Learned math from the good Sisters of Notre Dame and this formula is still true! 0+0=0

As great as that throw was, I thought the 4th qtr throw to Bouttee said it all. It was an even better throw.

Caleb Williams and Drake Maye went against the same exact defense in the first games.

Who did better?
Drake, and I’m not being biased.

Against a tough defense with a pathetic offensive line and no running game I was very impressed by Drake despite a horrible interception to start the game.

The rest of the operation aside from Drake and ST looks like garbage.

Maye can play. Please don't ruin him before next year. Also, I'm excited for Douglas to breakout with actual QB play.

Side arm throws have low release/arc. Going to be very susceptible to knock downs/ints. That being said, some QB's have found success with them here and there. Some argue it can wear out the arm faster, as well. They look cool as hell, though
Your right. But they sure do look good. For a first full game for the kid very impressive. On NBC sports Boston they are killing the defense.. look they have no Barmore, no Bentley, no peppers, key cogs in this defense. Gonzo is a great CB but he's best suited against bigger WR'S. Diggs is a route technician so I expected him have trouble. We don't have the horses on defense right now.. however this is drakes team now and we go as far as he takes us.
