Im not going to argue about the backstabbing owner, but Parcells put that deal in place long before the 1996 NFL draft.

He talked to the Jets after the 1995-96 season, which is why he asked Kraft to remove his buyout and shorten the contract to the final year.
Which would not have happened if Kraft wasn't being a meddling owner

I would love to see the entire staff fired and Mike Borgonzi brought in as GM or whatever the Krafts call it.
Love Mike Borgonzi, he said he would love to be the GM of any team.

I wonder if those anti tankers are still out there?

I don't wanna say I told you so but here we are.

It's the correct decision. Let's ****ing finish this **** off.
To more lousy players in the 2nd and later rounds?

Jokes
Everyone keeps making these same jokes but the Patriots are hitting on their first round picks.

You're not trading out of pick 3 without getting a extra first.

Don't even put it past the Raiders to draft Hunter at 2 and let a QB fall into our laps which some dumb ass team will have convinced them self at the combine they desperately want.
Jokes? More like reality

Word this week was that the coaches they interviewed for OC said they were surprised the interview was NOT more about “football stuff”.
Imagine that from a HC who has nothing to do with the offense.
Not discounting your post, but curious where did you see this?

I think the raiders are definitely gonna win a game here to end the season.

They have come close a few times. The Giants on the other hand is probably not happening.

A top 3 pick for 3 at this point with who would be picking ahead of us is amazing news. You can still trade down from 3 and get a massively talented can't miss player while accumulating picks or other prospects.

There's no way we're beating the Bills or the Chargers. That final game against the Bills is the only real variable left out there to worry about.

Jacksonville needs to win one im thinking. They are creeping pretty close to us in sos and ours will go up alot the last 3 weeks while they have a weaker schedule left. Possibly carolina too

$15 tickets!!!!

If they fire AVP/Covington what serious candidate with an eye on being a head coach in the future is going to work for Mayo cause even if he survives this year he's a dead man walking and the clock is already ticking.
In some respects I feel bad for Mayo. Kraft put his in a position he wasn't ready for. What does his football future look like if/when he's fired? Who'd hire him, and for what? Kraft did him no favors unless you count the money he's going to pocket which should set him up for life if he lives a modest lifestyle

Nah. Raiders will likely have a new coach who wants to draft his guy for the new QB of that team

Yup. I wanted Jacksonville to win today because the Jets will have a similar SOS and they've played closer games and likely can pull off one in the final stretch

Jacksonville has Tennessee and the raiders left. I wouldn't worry about them too much.

The Patriots have 18 games left on the schedule where their opponent is playing another opponent that we didn't play. Meaning that's 18 more opportunities for them to go down on the strength of schedule.

I think we'll be all right. But even if Jacksonville passed us they're not going to pick a quarterback anyway so it's fine. Obviously we're not picking a quarterback either but if we're sitting at 3 or 4 And there's still the number two quarterback in the draft out there someone might throw us a haul. Unless we win a game there's no way we're picking outside the top four.

Pretty spot on. I don't think been johnson would touch the dysfunction. Vrabel is your guy

**** that Twitter comment. Mayo snuck behind his bosses back with a secret that he was coming for his job and maybe actively made things worse to hasten it as well.

Mayo has been a complete and utter disaster and the only thing worse than giving him the damn job without looking around the league first for the next offensive guru is doubling down and doing it again this year.

Mayo legacy is set here unless he wins the Superbowl next year.

Good luck

If Vrabel is the only option, then wait until next year. He can't win with a much better team he ain't winning here and he's a headcase who pisses off his players and also has been fighting for full control of a team which is why he didn't get a job last year.

If you have a shot at getting a real solid guy like Ben Johnson then do it. Interview him behind Mayo's back, I don't give a ****, Mayo should be put on notice anyways.

But if they really can only get a Vrabel type, pass, show the league you will give the next coach at least some time, try to get some more talent so we are a more attractive landing zone, and then clean house.

How pathetic would it be that the raiders wouldn't have any problem moving on from their coach in back to back years when they realize it's not working but the Patriots are too stubborn to admit when they've made a historic error?

That was a tough one to choose.hopefully it works out because the Jets probably won’t win any of the other games and jville has some winnable games left.

Antonio Pierce was the interim HC in 2023. He pretty much got the job because the players loved the **** out of him. He did coach most of last season last year for the Raiders (so he's basically getting the same amount of time McDaniels got).
