This week we reached out to Stripe Hype and talked with David about tonight's game and the Bengals in general.

In particular, we wanted to know from a Bengals observer whether Carson Palmer has ever been the same QB that he was prior to his ACL injury.

I don't think the Palmer ACL was the problem. People forget that the Bengals were 3-0 heading into the game with the Pats in 2006. That was game we won 38-13. After that, they went on a losing streak, got hot and then lost the last 3 games with a loss in Denver (the game tying extra point was missed).

Yeah I really don't get why people think Palmer went downhill after his injury. The team was mediocre, but he was still a very good QB statistically. Over 4000 yards in 2006 and 2007 and a good amount of TDs both years as well.
