Wilson being concussed has given Brown the playing time. Brown has looked okay on the field, don’t see lapses or sacks resulting. I’ve been wondering if Wilson might have trouble getting back on the field if Brown has improved enough to deserve the playing time.
Bradbury - J Wilson and Benny Brown are basically Three Centers. I can't wait to move on from useless Caedan Wallace.

Herbert is a legit qb.

He doesn't scare me at all. Like not even a little bit. Hes gotten lost the last few years in the debate about top qbs but hes up there.

Hampton? Allen? True the pats don't have anyone to cover tes but their oline is injured and I'm OK with gadsen trying to beat us.

Herbert is an excellent QB. He is tough and has been playing thru that hand injury which now will have 2 weeks to heal. He is not afraid to scramble. Cannot just play man the entire game.
Two weeks to heal while he uses it less than usual but still has practices and game prep competing with healing time. It might be better but it’ll still be affecting him.
Their oline is hurt but can the Pats weak pass rush take advantage? Pats need to come up with a creative game plan to generate pressure. Disguised blitzes. Corner blitzing etc.
Having Williams back will be a big help. Jennings has been coming on recently, as has Durden. It would be great for Tonga to be back but Durden’s development will be helpful.

EDIT TO ADD: now is the time for our two headed DC team to step up and show us how well they can game plan. Hopefully TW can be fully involved for the playoffs so we see improvement and Zak can be there to help while giving more attention to his duties with the LBs.

Contain Hampton and I'm still weighing wether to put gonzo on McConkey or Marcus?? McConkey and Hampton are thier key guys.. blitz Herbert all day thier OTs can be had.
Why put gonzo on Marcus? lol, jk.

Seriously though we just saw that Marcus can blitz effectively. Not sure I’d feed them a steady diet of that but it could be effective in key situations.

Lol... good points.. also the key here to is having Spillane..we need him in order to blitz effectively.. Marcus has been excellent as a secondary blitzer... on things scares me is then that leaves Davis one on one with thier fastest WR down field..it's either a PI or a completion.. you want to keep Herbert's feet moving and not let him sit and dice you up..

We need another WR not named Stefon Diggs to step up. Boutte have been very quiet of late: need more for our secondary WR's especially with Barefoot being out.
Being quiet is good for concussion recovery lol. Boutte is back now, get some snaps against Miami so he should be fully available against the Chargers. The past couple of games Rham has been our WR2, will that continue or will he be helping with blocking more next week?

Good blitz should disrupt things before they get downfield. Hawkins over the top can help. One way a blitz can help even if it doesn’t get home for the sack is an errant throw that becomes a pick. And do we really have Davis on their fastest WR one on one downfield, or is that gonzo?

I thought Maye was better against Man vice zone? The Bills are mostly flooding the zones, rushing 3 and giving him some challenges. Hope they are putting in some counters for that.
He’s equally great vs both.

Can we talk about Mumford showing up here has seemed to have made all the difference?
I already did beat you to it: good-bye V-Lowe extend Mumford now what a find.

Historically, seems like NE has a harder time vs no names !

I don't know if he's a starter, necessarily, but he solved the 'third TE jumbo package' issue.
He passes the eyeballs test and he can run Block. That alone is half the battle: he has a decent NFL Future.

The two things that scare me the most going into the playoffs (and specific to the upcoming Divisional round game): the defense and the refs. One or both will be the biggest reasons why if the Patriots end up being one and done. I trust McDaniels/Maye/the offense to hold up their end of the bargain.

I think the refs will largely stay out of this one.
The point spread's normal, over/under is normal, there's no big national narrative pumping the Chargers up.

Edit: that's not accounting for their usual incompetence, but I don't think there's a reason for the fix to be in. If anything, NFL wants to put a spotlight on the QB matchup.
