The games are all tough at this stage. I’m not taking anything for granted. The lightning bolts won’t be a pushover and if the players go into the game thinking that way (they won’t) they’ll likely lose.

Chargers C Bradley Bozeman is the weakest link on a line full of weak links. Their backup Andre James is a better pass blocker, but is horrific as a run blocker. We should be able to stop the run (especially if Spilly & Tonga return) & pressure da Herbmeister…especially when he’s under center with that injured hand.

? JJJ was really good for us.

33 year old JJ not so much. Can't get down on a player for getting old
Agreed. It was inconceivable that coming off 4-13 that we would've had to over pay someone.. C. Davis was just that.. I expect Vrabel to draft gonzo a partner in the draft..

Nope, especially when you get an extra 7 hours of crowd-lubing for that one.
"Crowd lubing" is a move I used to do when I was an exotic dancer... heh heh heh, small world.

Vrabel vs. Blueberries? Discuss:

We NEED Spillane and Tonga.. adding those guys with the play we are currently getting from others like Ponder and Jennings would really allow the pressure to ramp up.

Don't forget Chris Jones: Cory Durden.

Love Durden.. he brings an attitude that I love.. how about Jennings all over the field..
Saw him glad we hang on to him late bloomer Jennings??

Looking ahead, Denver's defense is very good but their offense is beatable. Bo Nix only had one completion over 10 yards today.

The Broncos are going to test the theory that says defense wins championships.

Exactly how it may play out. If we stop the run, don’t let TE Gadsden beat us over the middle consistently & limit Ladd, we should be able to win this handily. QJ will drop a couple & the savvy Keenan Allen, while still rather effective, is past him prime. Also, while I don’t think Carlton Davis has had a bad season, he’s got to try to eliminate some of the brain farts in coverage. One or two of those could easily cost us in a big game. Pressure da Herbmeister & protect the football. The irony is that despite our record, we feel like the underdogs because nobody takes us seriously; which I fully expect Vrabel to exacerbate throughout the week. IM&VWT…

Thayer Munford at FB in a pinch again if Tonga isn’t available?? I can dig it…

The problem with Denver is the same one it's ALWAYS been. Playing IN Denver in altitude. Along with games in Miami in September, for an indoor or northern team, Denver has the most UNFAIR home advantage in sports
How long does it take to acclimate to altitude? I thought that Belichick helped to nullify that advantage by getting the players to Denver well in advance of the Play-off game. That having 4-5 days at altitude, practicing outside made a difference?

Exactly correct spot on... adding to your post that Vrabel should be playing the film from last season each day this week whenever guys enter the facility to show how they got embarrassed. That shl9be enough to piss guys off and added motivation

Jones should be on mcconkey . Not that big of height advantage and gonzo on Allen while safety help and davis on johnston.

There might be few deep passes but I expect hawkins to intercept one or two .

This would be the best way and if we pressure Herbert quick the. His options might be limited to Allen or mcconkey .
Why would you put Davis and not Gonzalez on Johnston? Wouldn't Davis be a better match-up against Allen?

Chargers defense looked pretty tough yesterday.
Their pass defense is #1 and their run defense is #12. That would match up well against our #1 pass offense and #8 run offense.

On offense they're at #10 pass offense and #11 run defense. That would match up okay with our #19 pass defense and #7 run defense.

It's going to be a tough game.
