Panthers Fans force Handicapped Marine out of restaurant.....

This is kinda of shocking to read, because, Charoltte, like many cities in the south, is full of transplants, so rooting for the other team is the norm. I've been to Charlotte many times and had some great nights downtown, they have a bunch of bars and restaurants all located together in sort of an outside 3 level mall (Go to Dale Jrs' Place if you are ever there) . I think that place seems to be more of a local bar. The bahavior is distugsting!

Like the rest of you, what I can't understand is if even a few locals were being douches, why didn't the management, or the other patrons put a stop to it?

Wait, you'll see Jerry Jones will hear about this, and he will bring the guy and his family to Dallas for a game.

That suprised me too. I'd expect this from Steeler or Bears fans (not saying they are despicable people but storied franchise with very hardcore fanbase) but Carolina Panthers fans Just goes to show that it all boils down to the individuals not the fan base, just a group of idiots.

Some more so than others. CAR fans are not as bad as ATL fans, but it is difficult to bring your family to either game, and to explain some things to the kids. Your welcome to come here, promise you will have a blast.

It's the deep south... Inbred, corn fed, and brain dead.

Wow, that is surprising. At the Superbowl vs. Carolina the fans we met were among the nicest. Just goes to show you that there are boorish jerks everywhere in the US.

Priceless coming from someone from Florida. Derp deep.

Haha. He lives in my original home town in Florida. Port Saint Lucie, Vero Beach, or Fort Pierce. Two out of the three are absolute toilets. Vero's not that bad. I grew up in St. Lucie.

Hey Kontra. I'm in Sebastian. Everyone down here knows this is the south Northeast. I've only met two native Floridians since I moved here.

Most people here are Pats / Giants / Jets fans, in that order. Dolphins fans are virtually invisible.

My brother's in Jax. Now , THAT is deep south.

Yeah, it is. Jax Beach (which is where I live) isn't that bad but rural Jax is redneck heaven.

The good thing about living in Jacksonville Beach is that there are so many different fans around here. Whenever I go to a bar to watch some pigskin, I'm watching it with fans from all over the country.

same here in Orlando.

Just reading that article got my blood boiling. I wish I was there. I don't care how many of them there were, I would have went down swinging for him and his family.

I believe you would.
I'd have your six.

Yeah but according to the reports it wasn't related to the game. Sounded like two guys talking **** to each other in a bar and it escalated. Plus, it was on the northside. The areas I've been describing in this post are NOT the northside. That's the "bad" side of town.

Actually, he was at one of the most popular bars in Jacksonville Landing! The heart of downtown entertainment and literally steps away from the stadium. From what I could read he was talking to a woman, turned out to be this crazy guys wife, he sat down talked to the guy, and then the guy stood up and without warning sliced his throat open with a pocket knife, folded the knife put it in his pocket and just started walking away.

Your original point about it having nothing to do with football was correct, but scary that it happened at the Landing, but it does seem that his bad luck was he ran into some sort of lunatic!

That's seriously awful. Football is a GAME. It's ENTERTAINMENT. People seem to forget that sometimes...

Yeah it was at MacCool's, which is on the northside of town. I used to frequent the one at the beach a lot before it got shut down due to rats.

Forget that the guy was handicapped or a marine. If you are berating someone in public because they are wearing a different team's jersey, you are douche.

Stay classy Panther fans.

one of the worst things i've seen was from a bears fan the day they hosted the saints in a nfccg

the dumbass bears fan with the mocking katrina sign

snopes.com: Bears Finishing What Katrina Started

Yeah, it was even worse to. We had things thrown. Lots more signs than that, and they were yelling katrina stuff all game. I almost got in 2 fights because my brothers little boy was with me. A guy said your boy should have drown to save him the trouble of seeing his idols ass getting kicked. We really hate them for that day. We were pretty naive going there. Hope they go all the way, we really want to beat them in a playoff.
