OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

For sure someone in Bradys inner circle or the Bucs higher ups leaked info to a degenerate
I'm not in bed with gambling companies like the NFL (which is fine) but at what point does protecting information end? I can agree that protecting on field integrity is extremely crucial when you have that much money changing hands based on the result, but a potential retire/unretire bet? I mean do they need to offer such a bet? If they choose to do so is the NFL really supposed to keep those kinds of transactions completely silent? It's impossible. What's next? Bets on the release of players? Player X finds out he will be released a week before they do the transaction and you don't think he family will know about it? I Just don't see this as an 'infraction' by anyone. They either offer those bets or don't but you can't be having investigations based on things like that. It won't end!

As it stands, Gronkowski has $5 million in dead money counting toward Bucs’ cap from void years on last year’s deal. If he signs a new deal by Wednesday at 4, $4 million of that is pushed to future seasons. So he can create cap space for his own signing, or much of it.

At this point, Fournette's a better player and Bernard is a good cheap option too.
For me, after last season, Bernard doesn't move the needle. I don't know if there will be anyone more interesting available in the appropriate price range, though.

With another season, Brady could have close to 90,000 regular season yards.

Of the current QBs, I can only see 3 having a chance to pass it assuming they play 20 years.

Burrow- possible but not likely. He started at age 23 and would have to play to 43. Already missed time due to injury and has taken lots of sacks/hits.

Mahomes- possible but not likely. He started a year younger at 22 but sat the 1st year. Has missed a few games already. Can't see him being as good in his 30s. Can't see him making it into his 40s.

Herbert- realistic shot if mostly injury free. Started young at 22 also. As a pocket QB, he can make it to his 40s. Already on pace for 93,500 yards over 20 seasons.

What happened to Bernard? I thought he was a James White receiving 3rd down back but a better runner than James. Failed to produce.

Also excited to see if Evans can take his game to the next level, from a pro bowler to an all-pro.

He was a minor disappointment for the first 1.5 years with Brady. But the chemistry improved the last half year and I saw some glimpse of Randy Moss.

I wonder what will happen with whitehead? I thought he was more important than Davis because he should cost less even though that's probably not a reality. Some rumors they might sign mathieu? I don't see him as an upgrade over whitehead. Whitehead scares players out there.

I'm sure that Fournette's improvement as a pass catcher was part of it, but Bernard also played as if he was a player in decline.

Russell Gage is 26. Listed at 6-0, 184 pounds. Four seasons in Atlanta, 193 catches for 2,065 yards and 9 TDs. Good production against the Bucs -- 48 for 484 and two TDs in eight career games. Another LSU alum for Bucs.

Gage's final eight games with Falcons last season: 50 catches, 611 yards, 3 TDs.

As it stands, Bucs have Evans, Godwin, Gage, Johnson, Grayson, Miller, Darden at receiver. Anybody you draft pushes out a recent draft pick off the roster. Bucs could easily trade away one of the backup receivers for a late-round pick.

I sneakily really like Russell Gage after charting his 2021 season for #ReceptionPerception. He gets open (71.3% success rate vs. man), can play all over and is tough at the catch point. Awesome fit in TB. Full profile on the new Bucs WR here:

Yeah pretty solid signing. He killed the Bucs the past two seasons so they probably liked what they saw

I could not believe how well new Buccaneer Russell Gage played down the stretch. It made me feel dumb for anything I previously thought about Russell Gage.

I think the Gronk news is next.

WR Russell Gage to the #Bucs Route technician inside the numbers. Can align as the Z/X. Wins at the top of the stem to separate from coverage. Climbs the ladder to finish on throws outside of his frame (below). Fits as the No.3 in TB with Evans/Godwin.

If this is true, AB is gonna blow a gasket:

Per NFL League source.. Former Falcons WR Russell Gage is signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Gage gets 3 years and $30-million, $20-million guaranteed
