OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

If you can minimize Hill's damage, and cover Kelce one-on-one, Mahomes doesn't really know what to do.
He had a lot of time too. It's not like the Superbowl last year

It is fascinating, isn't it? That game was literally a microcosm of their season. I mean he was surreal in the first half and then in the second half he does not take the check downs, runs out of bounds on consecutive plays and fumbles on the last possession and then throws the game ending pick in OT which actually should have happened a play earlier if Eli Apple catches the one thrown right to him for a pick six. I do wonder if the SB left a psychological mark on him.

Yeah and they clearly worked on it this season and things were going well as far as spreading the ball around but this was an absolute choke job. His internal clock must of been off we've seen it happen to even Brady but mahomes was throwing would be picks on each possession. Just crazy.

One of the reasons Mahomes slid in the draft is because of what we saw against Tampa, and today. He's not great at the pure QB type stuff, and he plays too much hero ball, rather than really forcing himself to do what most quality QBs have success doing.

Tristan Wirfs was hurt so bad that he immediately went for surgery after the Rams loss. He’d have played in a possible Super Bowl but he’d have been a statue. Combined with being down the 2nd and 3rd best receivers it was gonna be a tough ask to win two more games even assuming they beat the Rams in OT. People need to stop acting like this was like losing the 2006 AFCCG which was effectively the Super Bowl.

The difference in pressure on Jimmy compared to Brady last week is telling.

Just as I say that they put up a big series

Jimmy is having himself a game.

Wonder what Kraft must be thinking? Brady last year wins the SB and now Jimmy potentially going back for a second time in 3 years.

EDIT: I think I spoke too soon. LOL

JG time. Is he good or not? After 7 or 8 years we might have the answer.

And just like that, we have the answer.

That last drive was not on Jimmy. That D was dominant. He had no chance.

I am happy for Stafford.

It's really rediculous, I don't think anyone should talk about any QB catching Brady until he has at least 2 SB wins, but probably should be 3.
Today just shows you the greatness of Brady. Kind of appropriate with his retirement news getting leaked. Makes you realize his playoff excellence in a new light. This might be one of my favorite days of football.

Brady should call whoever owns the 49ers and say that if they fire Kyle and Jimmy he’ll come back as player coach for them because holy god that was one of the most embarrassing things ever.

I like Bengals +3.5

This was the game…lol…wtf?

I went from rooting for the 49ers to kind of wanting the Rams to win just so I could have a team to mildly root against in the SB, and because I just can’t handle how ****ing boring it is to watch Jimmy. With 49ers-Bengals, I would have been glad to see either team win.

I don’t really hate the Rams…more of a mild dislike. I always do like to see teams win when they’ve been good for a few years but have just missed out a few times. So, if they win, whatever…should be a wake up call for the rest of the contending teams to get more aggressive. I’m happy for Stafford…he’s a good guy. I think it’s hilarious that Matt Patricia supposedly hated him and the Patriots didn’t want him…unreal.

That said, definitely rooting for the Bengals. Easy call.

Just glad the Chiefs crashed and burned.
