He's been a huge liability in the run game this year and one of the worst pass rusher win rates in the league. I think he had an impact in 1 game. He’s good.
link?
Who tf is this “most respected” pats fan ?And yet, Brady was called "Temperamental Tommy" by one of the more respected Pats fans. WTF is going on with these people? Would they really rather have a great coach scribbling notes on the sidelines than a great QB on the field making the plays? That's crazy talk.
We can thank the NYFL, Bill and Bob for the false image that's been projected onto Brady. The NYFL for the lies and trumped up charges and Bill and Bob for not supporting him. The power of the press is real and it can do more damage than good.
"They beat us the first time. I want to beat them bad the second time."
Bruce Arians believes Tom Brady will return to Bucs next season
If Brady retires, he will count $24 million against Bucs’ cap next season. That’s only like 12 percent of cap, but Bucs would have tough decisions on keeping free agents vs. adding a top-tier QB.
If Brady retires, his contract calls for him to repay $16 million. Would still count $24 million against the 2022 cap unless they work to defer some of that down the road.
As @TomPelissero first reported, the NFL/NFLPA have made a significant COVID protocol change for the remainder of the playoffs. Unvaxxed players no longer subject to daily testing.
Bucs have until 4 today to make a decision on activating Fournette from injured reserve, and elevating practice-squad players like WR John Brown. Then they’ll decide by 1:30 Sunday who is inactive for the game.
Greetings! Jensen seems likely to be able to go Sunday. Wirfs is more of a question mark. Wells is fine, wasn’t even on final injury report.
We’ll find out by 4 today if Brown and/or Watson get elevated for Sunday. Bucs like to have five WRs dress, and only have Evans, Johnson, Miller and Darden for sure. If Grayson can’t go, one of those two are likely up on 43. Probably elevate Brown just to be safe Sunday.
Amendola muddied the water when he called Brady the Patriot Way. But he got it wrong.Belichick's a great coach. He's one of the best to ever do it. His meticulous attention to detail, his ability to anticipate most possible options, his ability to get NFL level play out of very limited players, and his game planning are without question. But no system wins without the players, no system wins consistently without great players at its core, and no system has ever done what Tom Brady has done, because nobody's ever been Tom Brady.
There is no way Brady is retiring playing at a MVP level on his own accord.Hmmm....I don't know....everyone close to Brady is indicating that Brady will play in 2022, but Seth Wickersham (who has no sources close to Brady and who wrote an entire book based on rehashing other people's reports) has a hunch that Brady will retire. It's tough to figure out who to believe.
I don't think he's retiring when he's so close to 45 but Giselle would be enough to stop him. I mean she's done alot for this dude who has basically been playing football and living football 24/7. His contract can be modified like Brees to minimize the cap damage and spread it out. I don't think he's going though because he's still the best QB in the league and so close to 45.There is no way Brady is retiring playing at a MVP level on his own accord.
Last year, the debate was where he ranked in the top 10, instead of 1-2 this year.
Don't know why no one in the media is talking about what can really stop Brady. Only injury and family can stop him from playing next season. He's not injured and Giselle is the only family that can stop him.
Regulas season stats were important to Manning, Favre, Brees. They stop games when they had hit milestones.Seth was intentionally very vague about Brady’s future and it was literally in the same article as a prediction that Rodgers would fail to make the Super Bowl again this year. Reading between the bolded lines it’s clear Seth is saying that if Brady wins it all this year he’ll at least consider retiring. Which I think is true.
I sort of remember reading somewhere years ago that when he was 30, Giselle thought he would retire in 10 years. So Brady has already stretched that quite a bit. Can he stretch it a little more, we'll soon find out.I don't think he's retiring when he's so close to 45 but Giselle would be enough to stop him.
