OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

He was in on the last play of the game

so anything anyone saw was probably dismissed as a result. I, personally, don't recall seeing anything that worried me.

Was Perriman the 5th option? I thought he was the third after Godwin and Evans.

The claim is that he was 5th. Whether it's actually true or not, we can only guess.

Statement from the NFL on updated COVID-19 measures. Bucs do quite a bit already outside and their team policy all season has been no visitors at the team hotel. They currently do not have any players on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

It’s ironic because of what AB did but they cannot cut him due to the risk of a receiver testing positive one random day. They need their depth.

He's also their best receiver and the one that Brady trusts the most besides Gronk.

The NFC is a even playing without AB on the Bucs! Brown is pretty much a cheat code for them whenever he's on the field! He has to stay at least for the remainder of this season!

I am confused about the return to play for the asymptomatic. Can someone explain it more clearly?

They want to get the players back on the field faster. So, the idea is that, if someone's asymptomatic, they shouldn't have to be missing games and/or practices.

Me, I'd just tell you not to take the NFL seriously on anything virus. They've been wrong just about 100% of the time to date, and they're now returning to failed previous policies.

Ahahahahaha!!!!!

Subjective "asymptomatic" determination to be made based mostly on self-reported symptoms with these physicians being paid or contracted by the league to to tell them what they want to hear. This is no different from the old concussion protocol with a half-assed determination made on gut feeling.

Here are the details from that memo on vaccinated players coming back from positive tests. It’s complicated, so I’ll give you all the language, for the 3 of you that are interested.

Ugh. So a player can take up to five tests and if two of those five come back negative he can return to play sooner than the 10 days? Am I reading that right?

This season is officially ruined. Good luck trying to tell the vaccinated players they have to go back to the hotel rooms and they can't see anybody. They were strong armed at the beginning of the season being told they had to get the vaccine or else. Now the NFL as usual is reaping what it sowed.

Remember when the league told it's unvaccinated players that if they got sick they would have to forfeit games? Now here we are with the immunity from the vaccine waning and cases exploding and the NFL won't postpone games. If I was a player like Fournette who was hesitant about getting the vaccine and then finally got it after being shamed and told he would compromise the season if he didn't, I would be irate!

They need to stop testing vaccinated players at all. It is nothing but a PR job and isn't about actual safety. It's that or allow these games to play on like this but they'll be a "Browns" team each week and it's not right to ask players to not see anyone 2 years in a row for something that not many other organizations do and that doesn't really serve any real safety purpose.

Sounds like they should simply adjust the pass/fail threshold score of a Covid test, since that’s what they’re doing here.
They are still stupidly deciding to stigmatize those who haven't gotten the jab.

Booster in exchange for no longer testing you period is gonna be the deal.

I would take that deal in a second if I'm the players but again, does that even make sense? Does the booster even reduce transmission of this new variant at all? If so then that's a good deal but if not it's just another hollow PR deal. Not saying don't take it but it just seems like alot of protocols are hollow PR stunts.

PA wants to shut down games this weekend.
