The Packers have been winning every close game for three years now. They’re 13-4 in games decided by a possession. They’re not a dominant team, but they don’t beat themselves and take care of business against bad teams. Their division is also a ****ing clown show and has been for years. They’re not losing to the Browns or Vikings or some loser pretender team like that. I think they’ll lose to the Ravens. Beyond that, I don’t know…possibly the Rams. Could be their third straight season going 13/14 and 3.
Anyway, I think the WFT loss changes everything for Tampa Bay. Could have survived it if they’d beaten the Saints, but they’ve really screwed themselves. What gets me if the outstanding pass protection and run blocking they’ve had but have still faltered.
I think now they’re better off resting and rehabbing their players for the postseason, hope they’ll get some tomato can in round one, and go from there. I still think they’ll win 12 games or so, but I think they should be extremely cautious with injuries and wear and tear. Limited pitch counts for Gronk, AB, Vea, and the CBs until the playoffs.
If you think that the Bucs are only going to win 12 games then running the table and going 15-2 to get the 1 seed was never in the cards so the last couple loses don’t matter really.
