OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

strange take of mine, but to my eye Brady looks bored maybe? I don’t know if that’s the right word.

The last few games it looks like he’s just going through the motions. Not to say he’s playing poorly. Obviously that isn’t the case. But I haven’t seen him jawing with defenders or running around much. Just, methodically doing his stuff and heads to the bench.

I can’t really explain it. But does anyone else see it?

He only gets heated if they're losing or not right. Bucs are rolling now....

absolutely Brady looks bored - it is weird seeing it. I guess there wasn’t much of a challenge today. But I have felt it the last few games.

Look at that schedule.

The Chiefs really need a WR2. They should also be scouring the league in search of a RB who can catch the ball. They can't fix the defense, but they could "fix" that offense.

And both of those things (WR2, RB) were known to be issues during the offseason.

Remember how they signed Gordon? Has he even played?

Imagine if he wasn't bored? 8 TDs, 60 burger?
He broke the TB record for most points in a first half, then they changed their approach a bit in the second half. We're just seeing Brady the stoic again. We've seen this in the past. Some years he's been a "Rah! Rah!" guy. Some years he's been an "angry" QB. Some years he looks like he does this year.

They're not ready. Still making too many mistakes. Good to see run game taking off though.

I am really enjoying their offense this year. No AB, no Gronk. Heavy Godwin and Evans. Loved the change up with Rojo too. They can basically do anything they want.

I honestly don’t know what to predict with the Saints game in the super dome next week. Winston sucks and The Bucs obviously know him well but he can be randomly hot and throw for 5tds just as easily as 5 interceptions. And that dome is a hard place to play. Is Taysom still hurt?

I'm not surprised that Brady doesn't look as fired up as usual.

He won a ring with another team, beat the Pats at Gillette, got both the Yards and TD's records. He doesn't have anything to chase anymore, neither from an individual or from a team perspective. Even he can't conjure an angle to prove anything to anyone. He has solidified himself in every possible way.

Only thing that's left is playing good football and compete in the playoffs and the Bucs are in a really good position to do it.

And you could see his frustration with the TEs, too (especially with Brate), which is a good thing, IMO. It'll give him something to really focus on.

I bet he really wants to double Montana’s championships. And I guess pass Otto Graham in championships as if any of his are even close to a Super Bowl win.

Every week is another week where Tom Brady is trying to prove that he's better than Tom Brady. And, in the process he's doing things that have never been done before.

And then he's going to the sidelines and laughing and smiling with the guys. He's become the epitome of a guy who's flipping the switch.

Brady is ensuring that no matter how long the NFL lasts and no matter how many games the season is expanded to or how much safer and easier it is to play QB that none of his career records will ever be attainable. Ever.

Jason Pierre-Paul says he’s been playing with a fractured finger and a torn rotator cuff. He did not practice last week but had a sack and forced fumble. Bruce Arians told him to just do what he needed to do to make it to Sunday.

In addition to the replacement game ball, the Bucs gave fan Byron Kennedy a $1,000 gift card to their team store for returning the ball from Tom Brady’s 600th career touchdown pass …

Nice gesture by the team

Bucs' 35-3 halftime lead on Bears today is the largest halftime margin in the NFL this season -- was Rams up 28-3 on Giants last week. It's the second-biggest halftime lead in Bucs history, behind the 34-0 last year vs. Lions ...
