OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

The power of Brady

The more I read about him the more it's an impressive signing. If all 3 receivers stay healthy you now have 2 that can beat you immediately in the middle or side with the risk of leaving Evans and Gronk in single coverage. They need Lenny and health and it's back to the NFC championship and hope the defense can hold teams under 25.

And they have lower level players who are pure speed guys that can open things up for the better receivers, too.

Yeah Miller is underrated and should be healthy next year. The OC needs more packages for him and overall they need to not be predictable when they put certain people on the field or go into certain personnel groups. Lenny is so important that way and maybe Darden.

Man, when you look at the 2022 opponents, and you picture the Bucs with Gabbert under center, you can see why players might have been ready to jump ship before Brady declared himself back.

I can confirm Bucs have restructured Barrett's deal -- should free up just under $10 million in cap space as Bucs work to get under the salary cap by 4.

Next in "Moves We Widely Anticipated," Bucs trim Cam Brate's salary from $6.55 million -- should free up about $3 million under the cap.

Barrett and Brate moves save about $13 million under the cap -- best I can tell, that's still not even halfway to where they need to be. We don't know how Brady's contract will be handled.

He looks high as a kite but good sound clip. Same thing happens in some other cities but if they stay healthy and get some secondary help, get Lenny and Gronk, it's back to the Superbowl.

Bucs have gotten themselves cap compliant, though that's based on not all their current contracts being submitted officially with the league yet. Still need to clear space for other free-agent signings to come, then down the road, things like draft picks signing.

I've got to believe they're working a contract w/ Godwin. That $19M cap hit is brutal.

Wonder if Brady is getting his contract re worked

Something his wife posted (Twitter, I think it was) has people guessing. 3 emojis, or something like that. Sun, palm trees, roller coaster.
