OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Get ready for 7 months of this. LOL

Brady's career playoff record is 30-11 with Belichick and 5-0 without him.

Belichick's career playoff record is 30-11 with Brady and 1-2 without him.

In the past two playoff games Belichick has coached without Brady, he is 0-2 while being outscored 76-26.

I personally giving him until 2023 to at least get us to the Championship game before I start questioning the HC. I question the GM but this year there was some good stuff he did. The draft was excellent so we shall see

These last 2 years have been eye opening for me. I really didn't expect things to crater the way they have for the Patriots. I always knew Brady was the biggest reason for the dynasty but I didn't realize just how much. His ability to elevate and get the team to buy in is second to none. I have never seen a Pats team as dispirited as they were on Saturday night.

Cant just post this without linking a tweet or something.
Sorry it was on TV First things First their last segment. They said Wickersham(guy we all blasted over the Brady/Belichick strained relationship which turned out to be true) and Bill Simmons have said that this is his last year. So who knows could just be talk show segments. I doubt he retires after this year.

Wickersham said it was just a hunch which seems odd. He is well connected to Brady so I would think he would have more than that.

Besides Brady Gronk Evans and maybe Vita was there a single player on the roster that is as big a hit to lose as Wirfs? I mean seriously, on the first freaking drive.
It's been that kind of year. Every time injuries started piling up for the Pat's, it was a tell that they weren't going to go the distance. I would say it will be the same for the Bucs, unless enough guys heals up.

This hurts my soul but this is definitely a game where a non crazy, and I guess non injured if you believe his foot is shattered like he claims, AB would be so big. He’s perfect in the quick passing game, running a crisp rout and getting open fast right where Brady expects him. Other games Godwin is definitely superior but in this game I think Brown would be huge.

Rodgers has been talking about his football mortality. He sounds closer to retirement than Brady.

Brady retiring after this season is garnering more smoke...I still find it hard to believe he looks like he's having fun
Brady is not going to go back on his word that he will keep on playing if he is playing at a championship level. Unless he is overruled by the Giselle as she wanted him to retire like 5 years ago. They were having a marital rough patch before so it is possible.

The short week with the Rams flying cross country is big for this game. Also this is the second week in a row that Tampa got the Sunday afternoon game keeping their routines in tact which is huge especially for the older players like Brady, JPP, Suh, etc.

The last 2 years has shown me who was greater between BB and Brady.

BB without Brady would have been a great coach like Andy Reid level but not the GOAT coach.

Brady without BB would still have been the GOAT with an Arians level coach. With an Andy Reid or Tomlin level coach, I think he would have had an even greater career stat wise and similar number of SB.

If you don't believe it, just look at his stats the last 2 and compare it the years 2009-2019.

There is nothing in Bill's coaching history pre or post Brady to suggest he would be anything close to Andy Reid. In fact, Rex Ryan has a better resume than him.

My guess is that had Brady played for a good team, like replace Brees, Rivers, Roethlisberger for example, he would have had between 4-7 SB in the same time span that he had 6 with NE.

I think it is fair to wonder that if Brady has a different GM would he have won more than 6 titles with a decent HC like Coughlin or Shanny or Reid.

It would seem so.

If they make can make it to SB again, I think the answer is obvious and would be a resounding yes.

Well it should have been 7 anyways. The coaches threw away the Philly SB.

I am hearing rumblings that the league may suspend Donald for his punch on Monday night. I didn't see the play but apparently it was bad.

If he wasn’t Donald we can talk but he is so this is nonsense

Which makes his decision to not lock Brady up more baffling.

If Bill only has 1 or 2 years left that would have perfectly matched with Brady. They could have retired together
Assuming Brady wanted to stay.

If BB was offering N'Keal Harry and a defense which just had the worst playoff performance in history why would he?

If BB could not stomach TB12 or his health guru or whatever else, he should of been fired. There is no other team in the history of sports that would put the coach ahead of the best player. They could of retooled. The division is not magically better all of a sudden regardless of Allen. People saying Brady was done in 2019 are the same people that are saying the Mac deep throw against Buffalo was a good throw. They just repeat what commentators and others say.

I'm going off memory here, but it seemed like after Diggs was traded to the Bills and Hopkins to the Cardinals that talk of Brady leaving NE in FA really started to pick up.

Coupled with reports that Brady wanted say in roster moves, it always came across to me that Brady must have demanded that either one of those players be traded for and after they went for relatively cheap to other teams, he was done.
