OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Poor matchup for the Bucs. This is a game where they need Godwin and AB. Could be the end of the line for Brady. Rams won the last 2 matchup handily.
Even if it is. It's only for this season.

He signed a a contract extension through to next season and he stated he'll keep playing until he sucks. Well I don't see any drop off whatsoever. In fact, he's better now than 2020, 2019, & 2018. It would be greatly disappointing if he went back on his word and retired. The only way I see it happening,. The wife.

What pains me is Mahomes and Kelce might surpass Brady and Gronks postseason records. In fact it’s likely.

There's a chance but Kelce only has 9.

It will depend on which team goes further in the playoffs this year.

And depends on how much longer Brady and Gronk plays together.
I give it a 90% chance for next season.
50% chance for the 2023 season.
5% chance for the 2024 season. If Gronk can be mostly injury free, I can see him playing this as his last season but Brady will most likey be retired.

Not likely. Kelce is literally Gronks age. Obviously Gronk has been more injured, but at some point in time Kelce will slow down.

Besides Brady Gronk Evans and maybe Vita was there a single player on the roster that is as big a hit to lose as Wirfs? I mean seriously, on the first freaking drive.

I mean Godwin is up there but that’s about right then the next player would be jensen

Must of added 10 people on ignore in the 'who you rooting for now' thread. Some cool old dudes that love NE but are reasonable and then just below a list of absolute clown show trolls.
so pathetic lol. you couldn’t ask for a better team to root for than Brady on the Bucs once the Pats get eliminated. they never even beat the Pats while Brady was here lol. you’d think he went to the Jets, Dolphins, Steelers, Ravens, Colts

Part of the problem is that Brady left in free agency. Even if he left in my opinion 100% because of Bill, it is easier for them to see him as the devil and making him responsible for leaving instead of Bill. If Bill had cut him outright, I think people would think differently but that’s just me.

Lavonte David easily. Big difference with him in there

You are making the mistake of thinking that people's feelings were based on where Brady went to play. It was/is not. It is based on Brady still being a QB that had championship level play left when Bill decided to move on from him. It is about being Brady being 100 percent right that the Pats offense needed to change and become more dynamic. It is about Bills GM moves that have come home to roost big time since Brady left. Basically everything that has happened to make the Pats a 17-17 team with 4 losses to the Bills and 3 straight to Tua is seen through teeth gnashed at just how right Brady was/is. And then on top, Brady wins the friggin SB in year one in a Covid year and then tops that with an MVP level season this year which nets him SI's sportsperson of the year. It is ALL those things that have the homers in a tiz.

Brady retiring after this season is garnering more smoke...I still find it hard to believe he looks like he's having fun

I am hearing rumblings that the league may suspend Donald for his punch on Monday night. I didn't see the play but apparently it was bad.

They won't suspend him. Just a fine

I not hearing anyone give an actual reason for his retirement so I find it hard to believe. I know it is important to him to honor his contract which has one season left. He talked not that long ago about playing next year and the year after.

Get ready for 7 months of this. LOL
