OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

He should be but it's going to be close. Media is in love with the TD:INT ratio. Bucs finished same record as GreenBay
Porksley announced the mvp race was over because Erin threw 2 TDs against Lions. LMAO

Well they finished with the same record and other than the #1 seed and TD:INT ratio, Brady leads in every statistical category and advanced metrics as well.

AFC:

Raiders +6.5 at Bengals
Patriots +4.5 at Bills
Steelers +12.5 at Chiefs

I should bet my house on the Chiefs. Bet they win by 30.

Last time these teams faced each other:

KC 36 - PIT 10 (WK 16)
BUF 33 - NEP 21 (WK 16)
CIN 32 - LV 13 (WK 11)

WC teams going to have to score 30 to have a chance.
Only KC was a home game.

In the last two seasons, the Bucs 1-6 against the Saints and the Rams and 27-3 against everyone else.

The other 3 losses, 20-19 to the Bears, 27-24 Chiefs, 29-19 Washington.

The only thing I would say for Pitt is that team is playing hard for Ben knowing this is it for him. KC is a terrible match up for them but KC has been listless at times this season while the Steelers play with tremendous emotion and grit. I am not predicting a Steelers win by any means but if this game is somehow close in the 4th, watch out.

Brady finally is throwing a little shade at the lunatic!
Just a tiny little bit but ya. AB would of hit all of his too but that's above his reading level.

The lunatic is on the grass
The lunatic is on the grass
Remembering games and touchdown plays and laughs
Got to keep the loonies on the path

So Flores was fired. I didn't think he did a bad job. Is it his fault that Tua hasn't been very good so far? They would have made the playoffs last year if they kept playing Fitzmagic instead of benching him for Tua. But I think that came from the owner, Stephen Ross.

Miami was one of those teams expressing no interest in Brady saying that they were rebuilding. It sure looked like they were trying to compete the last couple years and they had a boatload of high draft picks.

They sure could have used a QB like Brady and his 5 4th quarter game winning drives. Switch Brady and Tua and Miami is a 13-4 team. But glad that the owner like many others were too dumb to even try to make it happen.

It's a little telling that none of the coaches from BB coaching tree had no interest in Brady.

I think many coaches were in agreement with BB that going from Brady to JG was seamless as he can make all the same throws. Coaches were taking credit for some of Brady's greatness and essentially hinting that Brady was a system QB in his later years and on the decline.

What he has done in Tampa has put that notion to bed permanently.

I don't know how much of that was true but if anyone believes that they are kidding themselves. Is the coach in Cincinnati a genius that turned around the franchise? Maybe it's the QB. Are the Chargers a rising team because of that clown coach? Not a chance. Somehow it's supposed to be different in NE. Whatever BB touches turns to gold. I've used Marv Lewis as the perfect comparison with Dalton. Made the playoffs a million years in a row and has no job and certainly no HOF. NE did well this year but no division title and most likely no championship. As the years go on and on it will become even clearer that despite him being the best coach in history, it's the players. Especially the QB. You don't win titles because of a coach you win it because of the players. Of course coaching is needed but what is needed to win divisions like cinci did the other night and titles like we did forever, is big time plays by big time players. Not xs and os.

Coaching gets you in position and players close it out, always. There's no HOF for coaches who get their teams in position but then have the players fail to close it out. Finding coaches to get these elite QBs in position to win is alot easier than finding the elite player. Green Bay has been to what? 4 NFC championship and the defensive players generated a huge amount of turnovers yet they didn't make it. Is that on coaching? No. It's on the offensive players. The problem with clutch plays is sometimes they don't 'look' clutch and people have no idea what they are looking at.
