OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I remember telling my Falcons friends around 2014/2015 that Brown was the best receiver in football, not Julio. If he had Brady throwing to him then, it would have been insane. Perfect match.

I prefer Brown too. I like that he can line up anywhere. Outside, inside, slot, and even in the backfield.

Bucs receivers aren’t just the best collection of talent. They also complement each other really well. Evans is that guy you can’t cover with some smallish CB. Brown seemingly burns everyone but especially a traditional long outside CB. And Godwin is a 50/50 blend of those two. Add in that Fournette recently transformed into Kamara, and the tight ends, and this is one of the best group of skill players in memory.

They are 13-1 overall, they lost against KC in week 12, won their last 4 regular season games, 4 playoff games and 5-1 so far this year.
Yeah, it was a silly mistake on my part. I looked at the w/l on Pro football reference, and accidentally double counted the playoffs as both regular season and playoffs.

Sorry.

If the Bucs running game really is turning it on... they're not losing another game until the 2022 season.

How is anyone going to stop this offense? Seriously... how?

13-1 in the last 14 regular season games
17-1 in the last 18 games overall

"But x team kept it close! X almost had them!"
That was the "Super Bowl" for team X and probably closer than they'll get to a real one anytime soon.

I was talking about him, not you. His post history for the past year is 90% Bucs.
So now you're stalking him and keeping track of his posting history? What's your deal dude?

People keep sticking to that sort of narrative. I guess it's easier than just admitting that the best QB in the NFL is a 44 year old pocket passer.
…and that we let him go.

I think injuries are the only thing.

Very true. The great equalizer. But this team is good enough to ride most injuries out with the exception of QB.

Then: We should not pay $25M for a 43 year-old quarterback! No way. If he’s not willing to accept $15M, that’s that. The Patriots aren’t sentimental and don’t pay for past accomplishments. And extend him for another year?! Can you imagine the risk of a two-year deal?! No thanks. The Patriots don’t rebuild. They reload.

Now: Be patient, you whiny, entitled jerk. Did you think they’d compete every season? This is only year two of the rebuild. There’s a long way to go, and I’ll be thrilled if they compete for the wild card next year. With the right strength and conditioning coach, wait till next year or the year after…our QB will easily be able to throw the ball twenty-five yards during a game.

LAST SEASON wasn’t even meant to be a “throwaway year” going into it. All I remember from the offseason was how Belichick was uniquely qualified to take advantage of the chaotic Covid restrictions because he can run a tighter ship than any other coach and make more out of less. But then they sucked and Belichick went on a radio show to say “oh I meant for us to be bad this year.”

Counting postseason, last night was Tom Brady’s 350th game started. He’s 269-81.
Interesting.

Brady has a career winning percentage of 76.85%

Coincidentally, he is 20 wins 6 loss with the Bucs for a 76.92% winning percentage. Which is fractionally higher than his winning percentage with the Pat's.

OMG this. I am copying and saving this.

Brady had injury on throwing hand from all reports….throws were way off a lot
Ok, some throws were off. I mean he did complete over 70 percent of his passes. I am sure it bothered him a bit, but he did have a lot of velocity on the ball still.

Not only that, it bothered Bill I am sure to go 7-9 and Brady win the superbowl, so they go out and do something they never do, they go buy up free agency, and they are 2-3. I mean the excuse we sold out for Brady only works so long.
