Agreed. I say every year; in the new NYJFL (17g/Th-night season) world, you need TWO QBs to survive the season. SF I think will try & keep him & Purdy for a couple years. But who knows, Jesters could overpay to get him or some other non-FA middling Vet.

Plan A has failed. They’re moving to contingency plans.

Plan B: trade for a franchise QB, either Tua or Kyler Murray as their savior.
Plan C: sign Kirk Cousins once he gets released by the Falcons to a short term 2 year, $60m contract to be a stopgap.
Plan D: trade for a stopgap - reacquire Geeno in a trade with Raiders after they draft Mendoza, only owed $66m the next 2 seasons with $18m guaranteed, his time in Seattle rehabilitated him and Woody doesn’t want to look foolish like he did letting Revis go, so will get him back like he did with Revis.

Not sure Ty Simpson is good enough for that range. I do like Chambliss, but sounds like he’s fighting to stay in school.
