Mayo was a regular.on Curran's "Quick Slants" weekly TV show. Curran mentioned recently that Mayo was there for 5 years. Perry appears on almost every episode and has for many years. Unsurprisingly, both Curran and Perry seem to feel a loyalty to Mayo based upon their friendships. Very recently Curran has actually suggested he'd understand if Mayo is fired, but to my knowledge hasn't openly called for that. Perry, to me at least, has also refrained from supporting Mayo being fired.I'm sure their personal and professional relationships with Mayo make things difficult. But, they seemingly have little reluctance bashing everyone else for this **** show, so it seems somewhat hypocritical to me. Perry strikes me as fairer generally than Curran and more likeable. Just my take.

Perry criticized Mayo after the Arizona game.

He criticized others because there’s plenty of blame to go around. The organization has a problem. It appears rudderless and, at times, clueless.

The only exception is the fans who deserve no blame whatsoever.

I didn't state that Perry hasn't criticized Mayo, he absolutely has and it's been warranted. I stated that he hasn't, called for Mayor's firing. There's a significant difference there.

Wrong thread. Tomase is a baseball guy, right? Although I do remember him covering hotel ballrooms where teams walk through their plays before big games. Somehow it doesn't seem like fun to sneak around hotels and hang on Tom Werner's every word for a living. Let's Go Red Sox.......
