OT: Jags @ Steelers Game Thread

Judging by the sheepish look on Tomlin's usually overconfident face, I'd guess the whole coaching staff is in panic mode. Ariens turned the offense over the the franchise, the thing Cowher wouldn't do while he was here and the reason Wisenhut didn't get the nod 'cause he wouldn't. They know what Ben is capable of doing when you routinely give him his head. Now the new brain trust has the unenviable job of trying to rein him in without totally stifling themselves in a game they remain down two scores. Absent fast Willie Parker, they are really toast.

Ben's problem is maddening inconsistency rooted in his belief that he is way better than he actually is. And this defense isn't good enough to compensate for him any more.

Make that 3 scores.

Yuh, but the really important question is, how does backup Brady Quinn get a commercial?

Please, more crowd shots
Gotta luv it
The Visitors Forum is gonna miss all those smug Steelers fans

Pittsburgh looks just terrible. They were seriously overrated this year and now, saddled by injuries, look every bit the one and done team I suspected they'd be.

The question is, is Jacksonville really this good? Two chances to beat the Colts this year and couldn't get it done.

He also has a Subway commercial. Hell, I can understand one...how does a backup get TWO commercials?

This is a playoff game isn't it? What a crappy game.

This is because the NFL had to come up with the wild card round, all for teams who couldn't make the playoffs so they gave them another chance, they don't deserve to be there and it's an insult to the teams who did make the playoffs.

Great point.

Cowher was a far better coach than wrecklessburger is a QB.

I wonder if Greg Jones of the jags would be worth picking up?

Stuck behind a healthy Taylor and Drew Jones and coming off a knee injury himself, he would be an awesome FB, short yardage back if his head's on straight.

Remember this?

I bet Bill is watching & studying this game as we speak. If the Jags are indeed the team we face, bring em on.I can't until next week.

Yes.. We need to find the root cause of this..

Brady Quinn is more deserving of commercials than Eli is. If that Eco watch is as unstoppable as Eli, I am never going to buy one.

Never saw that before. If that other player wasn't behind him, the defender may have gone 5 yards in the air.

The belief that he's way better than he is is true of the Steelers altogether. I'm wondering which Steeler will be the 1st to say after the game, "the better team didn't win". Afterall, win or lose the Steelers were always the better team.

I really don't see were the Jags look all that good. How many gift can the Steelers give them and most wasn't from great defense more from Steeler brain farts.

Jacksonville is a good team. But so what, our team is good too. When they come here they will have to play a COMPLETE TEAM not a BANGED UP MASH UNIT.

Jones could present huge problems for our LBs.
