Not that long ago I would set aside a relatively small amount of money for my 'entertainment' purposes for the NFL season. By the end of November I had turned that into enough of a profit to buy the family very generous xmas gifts, plus pay for two vacations the following year. That was not an anomaly or once in a while thing either - this happened annually.Yeah formally announcing my retirement from gambling. I’m sure I’ll wake up tomorrow and justify one more Sunday of gambling.
You didn’t tease across 3. Amateur7 point teaser: Bills (-10.5) over Jets + Chiefs (-7) over Broncos
Congrats on the new girl. I’m not even doing that badly because of the way I’ve been managing my money . Just getting annoyed with certain results. I very happily have a new woman in my life now, and don't spend nearly as much time researching 32 teams and their players. While the resulting drop off in performance is to be expected, I would have never expected it to be so precipitous. Fortunately I have enough restraint to dramatically scale back, but it is very easy to understand where the money comes from to build those enormous, shiny casinos. It comes from people like me that think they are knowledgeable, but can't even win this forum's weekly picks contest. Every week I see one game that looks like a sure thing, and more often than not at minimum it turns out to be a nail biter. (For example: last week Houston at Tennessee, Titans were favored by 3½ - a spread that seemed to be way too low. I won - but only because the game went to overtime.)
This week I like Green Bay (-3 at Houston) to bounce back after being pummelled by Tampa, and the Jets to continue their pitiful quest of futility (vs Bills -10). Other than that I am leaning towards Carolina (+6½ at New Orleans) and Chicago (+6 at Rams), but I'm not sure if the insurance of buying an extra point is worth it.

I like my site but for some reason can only see one play when I hit open Jets or history. Its huge, yours is small and efficient.Congrats on the new girl. I’m not even doing that badly because of the way I’ve been managing my money . Just getting annoyed with certain results. Not having fun
I almost made it to 1 pm without putting in a bet. But I just couldn’t help myself

Once it stops being fun I'll shut it down. The past year or so has been tough, treading water all around. Covid hasn't helped.
