Hardly the odd man out; there are like 3-4 of you pulling for England. Personally I have nothing against England, although I'll be pulling for Italy because my mom's great grandparents were first-gen Italian immigrants.
Your constant focus on Italy's alleged flopping is a bit off-the-mark, IMO. Bookings have been issued for simulation/diving for a long time - Totti was sent off against S. Korea in the 2002 World Cup, if I remember correctly, on what was an incorrect call (he was contacted, no dive).
Simulation/flopping/embellishment is part of the game - it's taught/coached to varying degrees. I personally resent it and wish it wasn't part of the sport because it detracts from the game and limits its popularity. That said, nearly every brand of football, across all countries and leagues sees it to varying extents. The Immobile case you highlight was particularly flagrant because he immediately got up after feigning injury, but the act itself of diving (prior to staying down and faking an injury) is commonplace and England themselves indulge it just like everyone else - the Sterling PK is a perfect example; Kane is adept at finding contact and going down easily himself.
If you're arguing that diving/going down easily is fine, but feigning injury crosses some line in the sand, I'd ask why that's the case. They're both basically forms of deception, so I don't see some massive difference. If the argument is that Immobile on the ground distracted Vertonghen (or whoever that defender was), then the defender should've stayed focused; he gestured towards the official pointing out the dive in lieu of staying focused on the play. It also doesn't acknowledge Italy's play, which has been very strong. Their goals, by in large, have come from technical, talented finishes. Their defense has been strong. They've played a very strong tournament and deserve credit.
If you don't like the role this has in the sport, I fully agree with you. If you're going to single out a particular side and accuse them of crossing some ethical line while other sides do the same things, I'd suggest you take more of a "don't hate the player, hate the game" perspective.
