nor "disbelief"...You can't spell "elite" without "Eli"!
That's kind of stupid -- announcing that you will be announcing your retirement.
I feel this way but if everyone is saying this...maybe he doesn’t.He will get in the HOF but shouldn’t. Discuss
Just because it happens all the time doesn't mean it isn't stupid.stuff like this literally happens all the time. Why is it stupid

Rob Parker Would Choose Eli Manning Over Tom Brady ’10 Out Of 10 Times’
He's getting killed for it on Twitter, at least, even from Midgets fans...title is a bit misleading based on what he actually said but still a moronic take considering Brady has how many winning drives in the 4th Q/OT in the Super Bowl?
Because by announcing that he will announce his retirement, he already has announced his retirement. He could have issued a statement saying a press conference is scheduled addressing his Giants status.I just don’t understand why it’s stupid. It’s just an announcement to officially announce that he’s retiring. He’s a franchise legend.

Respect Rob’s game and don’t take it seriously. This is his shtick and it’s basically just like a bad comedian, but it puts (a little) food on the table.
Parker doesn’t believe a word of his own hawt taeks.
New York
Sums it up. If he played in any other city in the country, he'd have no shot.
The Manning name also plays a role. If he was Eli Smith or Eli Brown or Eli Plunkett, not would seriously consider him for the HOF. NY + NFL royalty covers up a lot of warts.
