As part of the NFL’s annual Top 100 Players list, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski was voted by his peers around the league as the 15th best player overall in the league heading into the 2018 season. He was the highest rated tight end on the list.

Gronkowski’s selection marked the first Patriot to appear in the 2018 Top 100 list.

In 2017, Gronk caught 69 receptions for 1,084 yards and eight touchdowns during the regular season. In Super Bowl LII, he recorded nine receptions for 116 yards and two touchdown catches.

The selection marked the seventh consecutive season Gronk has been on the NFL Top 100 list, he reached as high as 9 in 2016. In five of the seven seasons, Gronk was the best tight end.
