Would you think differently had they only won one Super Bowl since 2013 (2018)? Because that was a that was a real possibility given they needed an idiotic play call at the one (Seahawks) and an epic collapse by the Falcons to get #2. Sure seemed like Brady's his soul was about to ripped out of him in 2014 after the Kearse catch and the Seahawks about to score at the one. Does Brady even attempt a comback vs the Falcons had they lost in 2014? Does Brady even stay until 2018 had they still been in a drought?
Oh, and take Denver's leading receiver Sanders off that 2015 team, (who had back breaking after backbreaking 3rd down catches in the AFCCG) and put him on the Pats (where he should've been). They most likely are playing at home for the AFCCG and would've easily won.
BB also d***ed around in 2014 not being aggressive with Steve Smith who was meeting with Baltimore when Billy decided to pick up the phone. He also probably would've signed with NE had Billy not picked his nose during free agency. Oh yeah, and Smith tore Revis up in the Divisional round and made the Pats have to come back from 14 not once, but twice!
So yeah, they were lucky to win what they had as it could've been considerably less.
Should have won 5 between 2012 and 2018. Patriots were the best team in every case, but somehow managed to lose to the Eagles and Giants.
