Game Day Thread Official Pre-season Gameday Thread. Bears @ Patriots (Week 2)

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

What's up with Brady? Minor injury I take it?
Not sure about all of the specifics, but it supposedly was a cut on the thumb of his throwing hand.

Lots of scouts thought Derby was an H at the NFL level, but he's played well at the Y this preseason.

I don't know guys, I know it's only preseason and the regular season is a different beast but Pats may have found their LG in Joe Thuney

Hoping he might be our Joel Bitonio.

One player for the Bears that has impressed me the most in the first half is Jeremy Langford. The offseason weight gain has not hindered his quickness and acceleration, and he has made some nice cuts and YAC tonight.

I really do hope Derby makes it and contributes, at least for sake of that whole "Rookies that go on IR never pan out" stigma.

He was a monster in my PPR league last year in place of Forte. I expect more of the same this year.

not his team anymore.
Wait...what?

It most certainly is Tom Terrific's team, which is exactly why BB already named him the starter for week five.

Missing a few/several games does not change a darn thing.

Lets see if Jimmy start slow again.

Yes, but was more feast or famine, picking up the majority of his points in a couple of games against the Rams and Chargers IIRC. I think he will be more consistent this year. Even though it was preseason, he made some nice plays against one of the better front sevens in the NFL tonight.
