Game Day Thread Official Pre Game Thread- Pats @ Dolphins

THIS IS OUR LIVE GAME DAY THREAD:

This is where we gather to follow things on Game Day. Obviously, emotions tend to be high so if anyone gets a little crazy, the use of the “Mute” button is encouraged on anyone who may be annoying to you to control your experience and to allow the moderators to also enjoy the game.

At the same time, please take a deep breath before over-reacting for the sake of making this a pleasant experience for everyone.

Lastly, we have never allowed promoting the use of any illegal streaming. This is illegal and will be enforced by copyright holders, which puts this site at risk. DO NOT POST ANY LINKS to those platforms.

This also means, there absolutely cannot be any mention these platforms, spaces, special characters, etc. - so do not get creative in trying to work around this request.

If you do you will have your account suspended.

I do not have the means to deal with legal issues and have already been contacted previously, so this absolutely needs to be adhered to. If you see any illegal links, please report them so a mod can remove them.

I think Mac will want to prove something in his home state, and after losing the opener to these guys.
I expect a battle, but I think we can win. 27-24
Also, BB has to find a way to sign JC. I'm sad he didn't work on that last offseason, or in season extension.
Without Jackson, our secondary will really be a risk next year. DMC is likely gone, Mills isn't a #1, we're either gambling on Wade or a rookie, or signing a big $ FA anyway - so put it on JC, and keep our guy home.

the biggest question this week is if the Jets will be empowered by their near-should've-win vs. Bucs and go stun the Bills who are so up and down. If they do that solid for us, and we end up winning the division in MIA this will be a magical season and we would likely send the Bills to KC in the first round while Colts or Chargers would come to Foxboro. It's going to be an exciting day on Sun.

The disappointing thing about Mac's record this year is that he only has 1 come from behind / game winning drive (at TEX).
But, if it weren't for Harris' fumble, Folk's miss, 2ndary's OT collapse, he could have had 4. Looking back on those 3 razor thin losses, just 1 working out would have secured the #1 seed. I still wouldn't feel confident about any playoff wins, but this team seems to play up to competition more before the bye than recently. TAM, DAL, LAC, CLE, TEN, BUF (Browns & Chargers have dropped off since)

Flores going to dial up the pressure on most snaps here - Mac has had some trouble with the blitz. Single-high safety, clog the middle, and apply lots of pressure. So if nothing else this will be good practice for the playoffs.

Expect lots of screens, and maybe McDaniels will take the training wheels off our two main RBs and start passing to them more on early downs. And some shots downfield to Agholor and a pass-catching role for Smith.

I doubt it. Flores will want to beat New England and finish the season on a high. He won't be happy with anyone whose thoughts are already on the golf course. It's their play-off game.

Flores maybe, but the players? Do you really think all of them are going to try hard? It's a bit different than in 2017 when Miami knew a win vs NE would mean us losing the 1 seed, but hard to see them having the same level of motivation for this one.
Players & HCs have careers. If Flores, whose job is not secure evaluates players as being unmotivated and performing below par, they'll be targeted for draft and FA upgrades. HCs who keep their jobs do not tolerate unmotivated underachievers who cost them W/L stats and jeopardize their careers. Winning season vs Losing season is big.

#Patriots DB Kyle Dugger wasn’t spotted at practice again on Friday, per
@MikeDussault19
. Safe to say Dugger will be ruled out for Sunday. Myles Bryant wasn’t at practice either. He remains on the COVID list.

We'll see

Someone call me out on this but it's a move with little risk of losing the player as it is very, very rare another team signs players of another team's practice squad this late in the year.
Maybe this year is an exception, but I've seen at least 4 or 5 players in the last 2 weeks signed from other teams PS to their rosters.

On offense run the ball a lot...outside (maybe some tosses like last week i think it was) if we can get there. Defense...Tua is terrible throwing past 20 yards especially on the move. Send a lot of pressure up the middle (their O-line sux) and instead of bend but don't break...pull guys up and make him throw deep.
