Miami is out of the playoffs. They are going to mail it in.
They won't mail it in. Pats might and probably will beat them convincingly anyway but they won't roll over.

“Convincingly”? I dunno about that one…

I thought Wade was better in the slot in college? Maybe Wade in the slot and keep Mills outside? Williams is not going to cover a speedy outside guy.
Jr year and UF Wade was outstanding in the slot. Once they moved him outside his Sr year he was a train wreck.

What we don't know is if he has improved on technique as a boundary CB. I trust BB and Pellegrino to determine if the cat can hold up for extended time.

A ****ing…hand injury? A hand?? Are you ****ing sh!tting me?!?
Could be broken bones. Announcers mentioned he wasn’t on the field with a hand injury at the end of the Jax game, he wasn’t on the field much of the fourth quarter.

So Bourne should get more targets.

I have been calling for this for a long while. I don't get why Bourne isn't a bigger part of the game plan. He is only getting targeted 3-4 times in most games. I don't get it. He is the Pats' best receiver who is used as a third or even fourth WR receiver option in most games and then many times he isn't even targeted in the first half.

The Dolphins envisioned Raekwon Davis as a player with a Pro Bowl ceiling, a mountain of a man (6-7, 330 pounds) who could anchor the middle of their defensive front for years.

And Davis has done enough good things to project as the Dolphins’ starter there next season. But he’s not yet elite.

Pro Football Focus rates him the third-worst NFL interior linemen of 127 qualifiers. The Dolphins assuredly would quibble with that. He anchored a run defense that was among the league’s best during Miami’s seven-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Michael Deiter makes his eighth start of the season at center Sunday, having regained the job in November after missing nine games with a foot injury.

Pro Football Focus rates Deiter 29th of 38 NFL centers and 27th as a run blocker.

Flores again declined to say if Will Fuller’s finger injury is the only reason he is missing the final 13 games of the season or whether there’s an off-field issue in play.

Fuller finished his Dolphins career with four catches for 26 yards. He collected $10.3 million and played just 65 offensive snaps.

I think he also had injuries his senior year that confound any simple assessment. Some projected him as a slot/safety player in the pros but the Ravens had him outside in preseason and he looked good. The fact that he has been on the Pats all year and has not been able to convince coaches he should get snaps is not encouraging to me. Williams has gotten snaps and seems to be running in cement chasing receivers who get behind him. I'm thinking Mills stays outside with Bryant/Ross in the slot. Why can't Dugger rub some dirt on his hand? I guess we should be glad he isn't on IR.... Need him next week.

Tagovailoa said he feels the team has wanted to establish a run identity that it could work off of. Unfortunately, Miami is last in the NFL in rushing yards per carry and second-to-last in rushing yards per game.

Godsey has consistently pointed to a failure to consistently execute. He has also consistently taken blame for some calls he’s said he’d like to have back.
Miami began the season with a convoluted and unclear play-calling system that in some way involved Godsey, quarterbacks coach Charlie Frye and co-offensive coordinator Eric Studesville.
At some point it was streamlined, and at points that has seemed to help, but Miami has never gained traction in establishing any identity.
Offensive line ranked among the worst in NFL
It starts with sub-par performance by the offensive line. Some combination of Liam Eichenberg-Austin Jackson-Michael Deiter-Robert Hunt-Jesse Davis has not been good enough.
In fact, Miami's pass-blocking and run-blocking have ranked at or near the bottom of the league by almost all metrics, almost all season.
The Dolphins surely will consider signing one or two projected offensive line starters in free agency. And they surely will consider drafting at least one potential starter on the offensive line.
The Dolphins will also need to add a legitimate starting running back in free agency or the draft. Myles Gaskin, Duke Johnson and Phillip Lindsay are legitimate NFL running backs. But the Dolphins can't average 3.4 yards per carry and win games.

That is my #1 concern. We just don't have the personnel to match up man to man with teams that have explosive passing games.

Now that is one healthy team.

Maybe Meyers gets open quicker? I agree with you though Bourne should be featured more

I don't mind if Miami does, but we know better. BB is coaching this like a playoff game.

I wonder how the staff thinks about wade i thought he would have had a shot already especially since slot was not really well covered but he probably had injuries
Williams is not going to cover a speedy outside guy.
Williams is not covering speedy slot WR either, he improved this year but should help S or LB with TE or bigger physical WR this fits him best imo
I rather have Mills at slot and Williams outside than Bryant slot and Mills outside at least right now

I'd like to see a 4 WR package of Agholor, Bourne, Meyers and Wilkerson... respect Agholor and Wilkerson deep, leave room for Bourne and Meyers to work... Could be interesting. In all likelihood, Wilkerson will rotate with Agholor. Not sure what Harry does though. Guessing a healthy scratch again.
