Could not have caught the Saints at a better time. Many key players out. Not home for weeks due to the floods. Home game in Foxboro. And this team lays an egg. Very disappointing.
That being said if Jones actually has a half decent oline and quality play calling they would have been competitive. Not sure when they get NFL caliber linemen? This season or next?
Chiefs are 1-2, lost to the Chargers at home, and to make matters worse for the Chiefs, Reid was rushed to the hospital after the game. And the Chiefs have an all world QB, all world WR and all world TE, and yet are still 1-2. Weird season, SB loser curse maybe ?

Point is both Godchaux nor Barmore are run stopping DTs. Lawrence Guy isn't bad, that's it. There aren't stout run stopping DTs on this roster and Bentley sucks. If they're playing a crappy 2002 or 2005 defense schematically (not 3-4) then we're in for a long year.

Nah. It was apparent in preseason and 3 weeks have shown it. Same with the OLine being bad. It's insanity to pretend it isn't true. More weeks of futility is what dumb teams do because they can't see what's happening. Takes way longer for dumb teams to see and adjust flaws.
There was something of an expectation with so many new players and the COVID returns developing chemistry would take time but what's surprised me is how inoffensively soft the team feels. They're currently presenting as a team of nice boys NOT guys who would crawl through barbwire to make a play and win.
