It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I don't judge by preseason. You actually think the offense is going to improve from last season based on everything we’ve heard and thus far seen? Some serious wishful thinking there.

Game Observations: Eight Takeaways From Patriots Preseason Finale

— I agree with virtually everyone here, why is Tavai starting? McMillan has shown so much better when he’s been out there this preseason, both against the run and the pass. Keep Tavai for ST and backup LB at this point? Fine, begrudgingly. But he shouldn’t be starting, and I hope Lazar is right in thinking it won’t last long.
- on Mac, I did see improved zip on his intermediate throws and his throws looked more compact. That’s good and I know it was his major goal this offseason. But it won’t mean much if he keeps panicking under pressure. That’s what ultimately is the downfall of most failed QBs. He was fine in this regard last year, but hasn’t shown the same pocket presence in either game this year when the first read isn’t there. I wonder if the OL’s struggles in preseason have started to break him, ala David Carr? I hope not, but if so……. Something to monitor. They really need to fix this OL asap. Lazar’s stats have shown their traditional power blocking has still worked in the preseason; I think they need to minimize the zone blocking experiment at this point, as one way to minimize pass blocking concerns is to have far more 3rd and 2s instead of 3rd and 10s….

Underrated statement. This was very alarming. The Patriots 1's were awful against the Raiders 2's and 3's... not a good sign obviously.

Your comment was fine.
Some Tyquan news:
I saw stidham staying in the pocket and delivering lasers in tight windows.. head scratching to see that .- I agree, let's hope Tavai was playing as a last look and he is a surprise cut. Seems that he is a throw back to the older, slower, bigger LB approach - let's hope we are truly moving on from that including Tavai. McGrone played a lot of special team snaps - let's hope he sticks even though he needs more practice.
- Agreed. It appears as though Mac's movement in the pocket was scripted and restricted last year and he is free to roam this year and that is not working out well. Mac ran backwards into two sacks - amazing. I agree on the improved zip and more compact throw. What you did not mention was there were a couple of zippy, quick 5 yard passes which are ideal (high percentage) for "3rd and 3". Mac was panicking, IMO, which lead to a couple of sacks - he needs to step up in the pocket and if there is nothing there, throw the ball away. Let's hope Mac calms down, I think he will.
