Aside from the brain fart on the punt return and a catch by Johnson where he was clearly outmatched, I don't remember Bryant getting picked on all that much.
I was focusing on him after the punt return. Beyond the Johnson catch - Bryant looks outmatched on almost every play - poor football awareness in general.
C'mon! Herbert had a rookie season that was record setting. Do you want me to point out the hundreds of second year QBs who were completely ruined by having a new offense their second year. Far more second year QBs fail with a new system than were successful.
And Besides, you can argue Herbert wasn't as good in his second year than his first year or at very least he didn't make a significant second year jump. But because his first year was spectacular, nobody really cared much that he either flattened out from year one or took a slight step back.

Agree with others here, it makes our handling of the apparent Miami Point Machine a little more impressive. Like those three WRs with Thornton hopefully back week 5 or 6. Parker failed to make any impact this week or last. He now has to fight and claw his way back onto the field but Bourne should replace him in 3 WR sets.
