First down. Hand off. Up the middle. Two yard loss. Second and 12. Next drive the same. Next drive the same.
Well, in that case, let's get the next Pat Mahomes in here right away to turn things around (things I also heard during the Chiefs game last night that I want on the Patriots, "That's a special play by the HOF player at the TE position.")!43% of the Chiefs plays against that defense went for negative or no gain. Didn't hear a peep about that.
Pats were without their anchor on OL in Andrews, Cannon went on IR, Parker & Harris were out.
Callahan is another mediot that just comes with negative takes.

Poster was talking about the Chief's game against the Colts. In my humble opinion we can’t compare the 2.
We faced a lame duck coach who won’t last the season.
Vs the Chiefs faced Mike Vrabels 5 and 2 Titans who are very much in the playoff picture.

That Tavai seems to be slowly becoming a player.
Too bad he's too slow against a good QB.
Not good QBs. Athletic mobile QBs.
I said something about that earlier in the thread, but didn't mean it as praise for killing three first downs, but only that once they saw that the Colts were prepared for it, that they made the Colts pay. I like the one play as an example of adapting to what the defense is showing you.The spin now is Patricia was setting up the play action pass four drives later. And it worked. The problem is he killed the first three drives in the game to set up a 28 yard pass on the fourth drive. If the Pats were playing a team with a good offense, he would have sacrificed a multi-score deficit to set up one big first down play.
Great post.To me, the biggest issue seems to be the OL. They are keeping blockers in to help the OT to chip block or pass protect and its not giving Mac time. Sure, we could have better playcalling at times, however, I think execution is a way more glaring issue. Mac needs to find open receivers better, is not great at improvising once the pocket collapses, OL hasn't been great and Mac can't settle in, and the turnovers are killing us... not so much yesterday.
I'm pointing to the coaching and, to a lesser extent, the players.Yes, football is the "ultimate team sport"...you need help all around. If one thing is not working, as a team, you're in trouble.

What good QB isn't athletic/mobile?
Tom Brady? He'd still find a way to burn Tavai.
Zack Wilson is athletic and mobile, but Tavai will do against him.
