Much softer tone from Gilmore than what we’ve heard from him in the past. Interesting that he got Judon’s jersey after the game. While they never played a game together, they were teammates for a few months while Gilmore was hurt.

To me cadjuste looked decent in the 2nd half on pass protection. I did not notice him on runs though. I was happy though, and no penalties i can recall. I hope he gets a shot to start at least until/ if cannon returns
Yeah Patsy, when the film comes out it's going to be interesting to see how Cajuste played overall. Like you, I didn't notice him much in the 2nd half, which is usually a good thing for an O-lineman. He struggled a lot in the first half on pass protection, but we'll see what the game tape says. Would sure be nice to sure up that RT position, which has been a real problem spot this year.

Players need development.

Rookies especially.

Onwenu is having an All-Pro year.

Last year he was getting abused.
Onwenu's career trajectory is useful to recall here because he also went from promising rookie stud to benched pretty quickly. That didn't mean the end for him, just like it doesn't mean the end for Strange.

The encouraging thing is that if he wasn’t doing well it would have been noticeable like in the first half and mac would have been running for his life. I noticed they had a te helping him at times in the first half but didn’t see that in half 2 unless I missed it. The few times i did key on him he held up pretty well!

This will need to improve after the bye, and it starts upfront:

43% of the Chiefs plays against that defense went for negative or no gain. Didn't hear a peep about that.

Pats were without their anchor on OL in Andrews, Cannon went on IR, Parker & Harris were out.

Callahan is another mediot that just comes with negative takes.

We didn't play the Chiefs this year.

He seemed to be playing great until Andrews went down. Clearly something happened there.
With Wynn/Lose who's on his way out getting most of the snaps there now...is that good for Cole Strange's development?

There could be something to that he is not used to playing with Ferentz and plays better with Andrews. Seems like a big coincidence that his play has dropped since Andrews went out. I asked Andrew Callahan this very same question on his podcast, but he thought it was Strange just not playing well.

Specifically, we're not getting good play from the RT, C and LG, if that continues, we're not going to be able to do much on offense going forward.
Well ash I don't think we love Andrews as much a Strange does.

it's really not hard to see what the gameplan was this week.....grind out possessions, manage the clock, limit mistakes....take points where they can, win the field position battle, let the defense win this game, as the OL was down two starters, offensive weapons limited.....headed into the bye dinged up like this, against this team, this was the correct gameplan.....no new injuries, did not let Indy have any chance to get in the game, put this one away and get to the bye......that isn't sexy, the media hates it......but it's win #5 headed into the bye

With the way the offense has bend playing weare

In my humble opinion we can’t compare the 2.
We faced a lame duck coach who won’t last the season.
Vs the Chiefs faced Mike Vrabels 5 and 2 Titans who are very much in the playoff picture.
Plus once it mattered the game on the line the Chiefs manufactured points and made it look easy.
Does anyone think with the coverage and pass rush the Titans were playing with we would of moved the ball thru the air with the current offensive setup?

Harsh reality for the Patriots and Jets.
We will only go as far as our defense takes us once we get in any kind of situation where the opposing offense is putting up tds we are in a lot of trouble.

So if we make a wildcard and we see KC, Buf, Mia it’s all on our defense and that’s the sad reality of this offense.
Watching Brady on that game winning drive yesterday we could never do that even though we have more weapons than Tampa currently.
2 mins to go the distance and we need a TD.
I have no faith in that happening.
Until Mac has the confidence to scan the field and go thru his progressions we are a fast out should we squeak into a playoff spot.

This isn’t something you fix in a bye week this is a serious issue.

Well, I like his chances to improve if/when Andrews comes back.

Agree but the fact Mac didn’t go thru his progressions was not part of the game plan.
Agree grind it out let the defense dominate and poor Sam Ehlinger may of just been Sam Darnold, and I’m quite sure BB ruined Reichs chances of ever being a HC in this league again.

He’s gotten abused the last few weeks. He looks kinda of light for a guard.
I saw a pic of him and Strange looks very little for a Guard it seems like Strange is losing weight when he plays which is not uncommon for some guys. He needs go on some sort of fat regiment or a Burger binge.
