Here’s a sad truth: the best the Patriots as a team have looked in two years were the two games Zappe starter last year.

It’s an absolute travesty that Zappe never got another chance to start.

That’s not even to say that I think Zappe would be that good; it’s just that Mac is THAT bad.

The two games Zappe started last year and the Bills game a few weeks ago. Those 3 are the best games I've seen the Pats have played the past 2 years.

All other games have looked like a chinese fire drill that we mostly lose or sometimes accidentally win.

Again, it comes down to lack of talent and frankly bad coaching.

Mac clearly does have “it” and he just isn’t good. Thornton is just awful, Juju is crapcrap. The LB corps stinks, the Redskins were what 10-13 on 3rd down including that depantsing of the Pats defense when he ran for it on 3 and 23 and made it!!
since Judson went down, the Pats don’t have a single playmaker. Their special teams are awful!!

Amazing what a difference a qb makes.

Just a year ago, I mentioned that Stroud would be a nice upgrade over Mac Jones. Guess I was right.

470 yards and 5 TDs in the latest Texans win. The Texans now have more wins at midseason, 4, then they had all of last season. The QB matters that much!

However are the Patriots finally willing to declare the Mac Jones experiment over and go all out to get a new top QB in the draft?

And they should. This season is unsalvageable. Lose. Get better picks for the next crew. And if BB refuses to retire, then you can move on.

It seems like weekly im seeing guys who were available for less than what mac cost us who may not be answers but are far better prospects right now. Dobbs, Levis, Howell who we selected bailey effing zappe over, should’ve been a no brainer.

The optimist in me wants to think positive and think theres a greater plan in store for us. Maybe one of these guys just keeps us mid for a few more years while mac can hopefully get us a top 5 pick and a much better prospect than all. But theres also the part of me who feels bb will find a way to botch this as well.

Get a top qb if they can, just don’t settle. If you know there is a good option in the 2nd at qb, then get Harrison Jr or one of the big 2 OT’s.

Anyone here who thinks that INT was on Mac is just as much of a moron and a hater as Vilma. It wasn’t tipped. It wasn’t a “tough catch” for an NFL WR.

Mac hit his overpaid WR with half a step on his defender in his hands while leading him away from the CB and the WR just whiffed. Period. Get the f*ck out of here with throwing into “traffic”. That’s BS.

But also terrible luck with injuries (and timing thereof).

An excuse for the inexcusable. The team stunk before the injuries and it stunk after. The roster stinks, the play is sloppy, the playcalling looks like something out a a random number generator. The penalties are out of control. The game day roster decsions are pathologically bad.They are 2 and 7l ETC. This is good enough for you???

But to be fair, we're acting like a JV squad should play like a Varsity team.
The Pats are playing with the bottom of the roster at WR, so when they drop bombs, or clutch game winning drive passes, we shouldn't be surprised. Not to mention missing our best CB, DE, 2 OTs.
