You know who I didn't notice much of today was Christian Barmore.....the defense was fine except for q or 2 plays, not sure if his name got called at all.

The defense wasn’t excellent. The two playmakers on Miami’s made plays, the rest of that team is trash. The defense looked competent and the offense looked incomplete.

They should be able to handle horrible offenses like theirs on defense with no problem, but they’ll get handled pretty easily by top ten offenses.

There's a lot of denial going on about this game, when acceptance and understanding of context would be the better way to go.

Considering there are 16 games left to play, I don't think we can be declaring what this team is/isn't with much accuracy yet ... most definitely not with any claims to certainty.

The way a team looks in September compared to November/December can be night and day. That's not to say this team will end up being formidable, but I saw enough positives to feel optimistic until they continue letting me down.

To put things into perspective, the wild fires in CA are a disaster. The Dolphins game looked like a fourth preseason game - some good, some bad, and lots of issues to address.

The play calling was not the issue on offense. It was execution.

The OL had it share of problems, but was better than expected. The running game was fine. The tight ends did a good job, blocking and receiving. The passing game needs to develop a way to get some long yardage plays they can count on. This offense is not good enough to overcome turnovers.

The defense was good to excellent. Only gave up ten points and put pressure on the QB consistently. Tyreke Hill is a rocket and an extraordinary talent that must be accounted for every second. The corners did a pretty good job today but have lots of room for improvement.

The Patriots must take a big step forward in the coming week, but overall it was better than expected. Tough week one on the road but there is a lot to build on here.

A bit rosier than I may have put it, but largely agreed.

It's still a rainbow and did not notice high velocity in it . It seems to be the only long throw Mac is able to do.
Disagree. There's velocity on it. Not a rainbow. It got there quick.

The ball traveled 60 yards in 2 1/2 to 3 seconds.

Didn't hear his name called in a negative way. I am sure that with his performance last season a premium was put on keeping him bottled up. IF so, and he routinely chewed up OL-men then that's fine by me.

We basically won this game except for a couple bad plays. If you are trying to say something differently, I can't hear you.

I was happy about the running game.

I also don't think Patricia is a dunce.

But I'm still wondering what the mix is going to be. I was always a mcDaniels fan because he liked taking advantage of open spaces on the field.

Today I saw very little in terms of dump offs, short throws, etc.

I want to see what the philosophy is going to be.

MAC could be “the guy” if they had a top five RB and TE combo and an all world defense. But he’s a bottom half of the league QB with mediocre weapons around him

Oof body language is that of a man in a lot of pain.

That was my take as well. He’s not broken, but he’s feeling it right now. He’s going to be on the injury report all season.

Mac Jones's arm looks plenty strong on this throw to Bourne:

I continue to say that Jones's problems are not reading the defense right and not making decisions quickly, the things you would expect from some who's been in the NFL for 18 games. Not worried about his arm.

If the guy is wide open which is hardly ever. QBs are a dime dozen who can make that same throw.

If there is a small window where the DB can make a play forget it.

Did you expect Trent Brown to be whistling Zippitty-doo-da as he lets his QB get drilled? I was shocked how poorly Brown played.

Bill Belichick takes ‘responsibility for everything’ that happens to New England Patriots offense in 2022

Strange...no other O lineman stood out to you as an absolute POS waste?

They don’t seem to have an identity on offense. They are not built to help his limitations as he can not throw his way out of a deficit. OL is not good. Too much musical chairs at RB. No playmakers at WR.
