Although I do think the Dolphins controlled the game I will say two positives about the defense:
1. They stopped the run
2. They handled the Dolphins RPO, end arounds, all those plays that exposed our defense's lack of speed last year. We attacked them when they were back there doing their razmataz which is totally different than just reacting like we did last year.
Defensively, I thought we looked good except the one obvious play by Mills. We've got to create some turnovers though for us to win. We stopped the run and got off the field many times already looking better than last year. We look faster too. Offensively, I was worried we'd have a ton of 3 and outs which we didn't so that's a plus. Offensive line was probably a little better than I expected. Negatives were Mac looked off and his reads look slow or late. We have no weapons on offense so we have to create turnovers. Ultimately, we just find a way to lose games the last couple of years. Confidence, execution, discipline or all of the above, I don't know. The play calling was fine in my opinion. Also, who did people want us to hire as an OC? O'Brien wasn't available so Matty P is probably a more experienced choice than anyone else out there.
Not Sure how anyone saw anything good. Mac was under pressure all day and is now hurt.
Pats had no pressure whatsoever on Tua
Miami is not that good, yet they dominated the Pats. turnovers a plenty
Bailey was the only bright spot for the Pats.
When your punter is your best player you are officially in trouble.
I think the most frustrating part of this loss is that Tua is such a hot ****ing dogshit dumpster fire of a QB and having two of the top WRs in the game can help carry him to a decent showing on the stat sheet. Losing to a good QB is whatever. Losing to such trash as Tua sucks
Honestly BB is trying to hard to outthink the room again….going to let judge do some of it ….and Patricia will do some of it….keep ‘em all guessing!!!! What we really need is a true seasoned OC!!!! Patricia is an average DC…..judge is QB coach…..both are FAILURES as HC……BB should have brought in a great OC instead of trying to make magic happen with these two!
Jones is not a QB who can push the ball down field. Attack and have the defense back on their heels. His game is check downs and underneath passing yards. With Mac youre doomed if you cant run the ball and play good defense.
Thursday night you saw Josh Allen take over the game in the 2nd half.
