IT WAS A NEGOTIATION….I can almost guarantee BOTH SIDES GAVE UP SOMETHING
he wants to point fingers and blame one side for click bait at first, then to cover his tracks when he was Wrong, then Wrong Again.
He used to have good sources or integrity, but the cutthroat media-verse appears to be eating his soul.

The endless back and forth with some fans in threads here are anything but entertaining.

Any Pats fan should be happy today. Players like Gonzo don't grow on trees.

All we need to do now is enjoy him in a Pats uni.

Yup. If he were on some other team and we managed to sign him/steal him away we would be ecstatic. I mean most of us are, anyway. Let's enjoy the ride, don't worry about the future, we're in about a 2-3 years championship window right now!

First time I heard of Adam Schefter was in 2006 with the inception of that NFL Network. He was whiffing on a many of his reports most notably Lavar Arrington. I remember he said he was signing with some team, but magically ends up with the Giants. I thought for sure Schefter was not going to last long after that off-season.

This Gonzo situation is another big stain for him.

Based on this paragraph(s), assuming it’s true, the Patriots were the ones holding up the process.

Other paragraphs from other sources suggest the opposite.

It depends on which you read and which you believe.

Most folks will believe whatever supports their preconceptions.

Why keep trying to find fault? Maybe it’s not anybody’s fault. Or maybe it’s everybody’s fault. Even yours.

I’m confident that the team wanted to get this done and didn’t set out to nickel and dime the player. Because Gonzo is a major asset, on and off the field: a bona fide game changer who is also young, good-looking and a major draw for an audience the NFL is eagerly courting. (Go to Gillette sometime and check out the number of young Latino fans in Gonzalez jerseys.)

This deal was complicated and difficult. That doesn’t have to be somebody’s fault. And now it’s done.

It’s 2026. Everything must be somebody’s fault!
