I watched the games, admittedly not all of them. I saw decline especially when he could not set his feet and step into the throw.

Tampa will desperately hold on to him unless he personally shoots his way out.

It's not about common sense it's about loyalty and they love the guy. If he wants out they should absolutely jump on it but IMO there's 0% chance he gets traded otherwise.

He wasn't finishing routes for Tom Brady. Imagine the effort coming for Blaine Gabbert?

I would love for nothing more than Brady to prove me wrong. I just saw a real difference in his play this year more than any other year. And it was for the entire season. I didn't see any decline in 2013 and Ive never seen him more frustrated then he was in 2019 given how Bill treated him after delivering the 6th ring. I truly hope I am wrong and he goes somewhere next year and lights it up but at age 46 Father Time may be upon him.

So when will Bowles be firing himself, since the entire team failed to meet the high standards that had been set for this past year, and not just the offense?

You saw the same play that you saw in the second half of 2019, once the OL fell beyond a sustainable level. Go check the tape.

I really didn't. I didn't see physical decline at all 2019. I saw it this year in his arm, decision-making and presence in the pocket.

I thought his arm declined way more than his mobility. His throws were noticeably weaker to me especially when he could not step into them. He had some really bad picks due to low velocity, the Dallas red zone one being a prime example. He also looked very skitish in the pocket not wanting to take any hits. I know his line was trash but he played very fragile back there. He just didn't have that same command and presence as last year. Like I said, I think some for sure was the coaching and injuries but this season was the first time for an entire season he did not look like the same Brady to me. I really hope he goes to a better team with better coaching next year and is able to return to his prior form but at age 46 I think father time might actually be at his heels. I mean God Bless him. No QB has ever gone this long and of course I would be remiss in not mentioning that he set the NFL record for completions this year. The guy is and always will be the ultimate unicorn.

That red zone pick against Dallas was just a poor throw away. He obviously could have thrown that ball through the back of the stadium, he just didn't put enough on it. His worst play ever in a Bucs uniform. I couldn't believe he screwed that up so badly.

I totally agree with him looking skittish in the pocket. It was clear he had no confidence in the OL this season.

I didn't see any diminished arm strength or low velocity on his throws. Look at the 3 TD passes to Evans against Carolina and the one to Julio against Dallas. These were perfect down field throws he was making in weeks 17 & 19.

Nowhere substantial. Boston Herald writer Andrew Callahan mentioned it.

"If the Patriots are inclined to wait, Mike Evans might come free in Tampa Bay, where the Bucs are presently $43.7 million over next year's cap. If the Buccaneers trade Evans after June 1, they can create $14.5 million in cap space. Evans is also entering the final year on his contract and turns 30 in August, factors that could drive his price down in addition to Tampa's tight cap sheet."

It was mentioned on the Rich Eisen Show too, I believe in an interview with Rick Stroud.

Evans is the Lavonte David on the O side of the ball. He's beloved in Tampa. I just don't see him going anywhere. He's a couple of seasons away from a guaranteed HOF career.

Plus, a post Jun-1 trade doesn't help them w/ their cap during FAcy.

I'll repeat, it's unbelievable to me that they're bringing Bowles back as the head coach. WTF is team ownership thinking?

This year looked nothing like those 2 seasons to me in terms of Brady. Maybe emotionally but that's it. He is less accurate, less patient and his vision has declined. It's not just 'fix the talent' and all will be well. You are not the messiah of all topics here, dude. Anyone that fails to see Brady had by FAR his worst season as a pro is the same kind of bias as the BB people in the other thread. Does it mean he's done? I don't know but some of this mess is on him and previous Brady wins 10 games this year easily.

To add to it, his pocket presence has been declining for years and was obvious to me last year. IMO.

Yeah, I'm not from Tampa, and I've only been following the team closely since Brady arrived so I'm probably underestimating the area's regard and loyalty for Evans.

Sure, if you're comparing him with Josh Allen. But Brady vs Brady, not much of a decline if any. I think he seemed distracted, for sure.

Not sure if you can go with the "declining for years" argument considering he threw for 5300 yards and should have been named the league MVP just last season. 2020 and 2021 were arguably his best two back-to-back seasons of his career.

He had a better season than in 2013 and 2019 when he was 9 & 3 years younger.
