Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Of all of the quarterbacks having a down season so far, Brady supposedly among them, here is my list of the most underachieving quarterbacks in order...

1. Russell Wilson
He looks completely befuddled on literally every passing down... what the hell happened to this guy? Had an excellent career in Seattle, and although he started showing some slippage last season, what we're seeing right now is a precipitous decline. With a massive contract too.

2. Matthew Stafford
8 INTs, 11 turnovers so far... he's playing like the bad version of Brett Favre. No repeat for the Rams with Stafford stinking up the joint.

3. Aaron Rodgers
Almost gave away the game to the Patriots who were down to their 3rd string QB. Followed that up with back to back home losses to the NY teams. Hasn't surpassed 255 passing yards and is playing totally uninspired football. Looks like a case of take the money and run.

4. Mac Jones
Yes Jonesy you make the list. 14 turnovers in your last 8 games with a 2-6 record...

5. Kyler Murray
Another quarterback with a new mega contract hangover. Maybe the return of Hopkins will get him straightened out but Murray has been garbage so far. Only 6 TDs to go along with 4 INTs... and people are on Brady's case for 8 TDs and 1 INT... all of these QBs would be thankful for that right now.

Dishonorable mentions....

Matt Ryan... 8 TDs & 7 INTs... bring back Wentz who took an entire season to reach 7 INTs.
Justin Fields... doesn't have much around him but he looks like a complete bust.
Moral of the story looking at the top 3 here: if your name is not Mahomes or Allen and your QB is getting 40mil plus, they're grossly overpaid.

On Kyler. Cardinals got hoodwinked. He is no Lamar who himself is only very good. 5-10 in my ranking but not elite.

Ps. I don't include Brady as he is year to year and doesn't look for max contracts.

I'm rooting for Zappe over Mac.

I don't necessarily view Mac as having a down season as he was riding on training wheels given by McDaniels last year.

I've always been underwhelmed with the zip in Macs throws. Macs ceiling is probably the Alex Smith/Andy Dalton range. That's the ceiling,.. the bottom is yet to be determined but could be in the Mayfield/Trubisky on/off inconsistent 1st round bust range.

What’s wrong with hating an annoying fan base? That isn’t reflective of the team on the field.

Dissing Patriots fans on Patsfans.com from cover of a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan thread just is not a good look.

You must admit, Tom did not look good this past week both on and off the field.
I don't care about off the field stuff.
I've said multiple times that he had his annual stinker Sunday and been critical of him.
This clown though is literally posting a video of Whitlock and notorious Patriots hater to push his anti Brady narrative. Check his posting history too all anti-Brady if he's not in the War thread.

By "off the field" I was referring to Tom missing both a team meeting and walk-through to join members of his former team for a wedding party. Whether that affected his play Sunday is unclear but possible, while legitimately calling into question his level of buy-in this season. Then he had the temerity to lambaste his OL caught on camera. None of this makes him look too good.

Clown

You're literally putting a video on a Pats forum of Whitlock one of the most notorious Patriots hater to push your anti-Brady agenda.
Whitlock was one of the guys that opined about defenses taking him out because he was running up the score in 2007. In 2009 he said he'd never be the same because he'd be hearing footsteps after his knee injury in 2008.

Bucs also released veteran tackle Justin Skule from the practice squad, with no corresponding move announced.

Didn't bother watching this garbage but until the marital issue it was virtually 100% he was retiring at the end of the season which is by the way only 3 or 4 months longer. If he come back next year, it may depend on how the rest of the season goes.

Brady still played OK. If you look at the stats, Brady probably played better than half the QBs this past weekend. Not bad for his worse game of the year.

The OL deserved a tongue lashing. They were awful. So I applaud it.

Oh my god I can’t imagine the complete lack of awareness to post ANYTHING by Jason freaking Whitlock especially regarding any issues regarding morality. I’m surprised he had time to make a video on Brady considering at this moment he’s busy defending Kanye West and his virulent anti-Semitic comments. Great look. Really. Be sure to share anything David Duke posts about Brady too.
