Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Their quarterback is coming off back-to-back MVP seasons. They've got the best duo of RBs in the NFL. Their defense is decent. They can be beat Tampa Bay down their top 3 receivers. Brady doesn't look like he's in a good head space either. 200 yards passing per game isn't going to help his mood either. Brady loves to win but he likes his style points and stats too.

He didn’t deserve either mvp so I don’t care about that but with those WRs vs Tampa’s corner they won’t be moving the ball much. Add in GB line hasn’t looked that great then Tampa will be getting pressure while facing below average WR group. Meanwhile GB can’t stop the run I expect Tampa to run all over them hopefully Julio can play and Gage gets his head out his ass

I have far less respect for Aaron Rodgers today than Peyton Manning in that 03-05 era and that says something. He doesn’t scare me one damn bit and yeah feel free to quote me next week if he drops 50 on the Bucs and laugh. I still know he’ll choke in January.

Anyway the Evans suspension is an interesting conundrum for the Bucs. He’s not getting it removed. BUT it might be possible to get it delayed a week as the process works out. But isn’t that worse? The Packers game is objectively more important in terms of seeding. But I think the Bucs can win without him. The Chiefs game meanwhile isn’t important at all in terms of seeding but I think they need Evans to beat them. Real pick your poison situation here.

Ideally you want him to play the GB game and miss the Chiefs game

If they beat GB they'll be 3-0 in conference.

If he misses the Chefs game at least Godwin may be back by then

Bucs should beat the Packs. To ensure victory, having Evans is key especially if they don't have Julio, Godwin, and D Smith. Winning against the Packs could be huge at the end of the season.

For the Chiefs, Mahomes is back to MVP form and will be tough to beat whether Evans plays or not. A win or loss will be dictated by how the Bucs D perform and if they can make Mahomes look bad like in the SB.

I don't share your optimism. I'd use "could win" instead of "should win"

Tom Brady is in the building on Wednesdays, attending meetings as normal, just not physically participating in practice that day each week to help him recover easier from games, Bowles said.

Bowles' injury update today on Akiem Hicks (foot) and Josh Wells (calf): "They're banged up pretty good. Their availability right now is unknown, but both got hurt pretty good."

Bowles still uncertain if Julio Jones (knee) will be available this Sunday vs. Packers

On his weekly "Let's Go" podcast, Tom Brady addressed his latest tablet tantrum: "I'm trying to make sure I don't throw my arm out when I throw it, but I was pretty pissed yesterday."

Brady to @JimGrayOfficial on yesterday's fight: "The fact that Mike (Evans) would come out to defend me means everything in the world to me as a teammate."

Brady (on his podcast) on Evans' suspension: "I don't think it deserved any type of suspension; I think that's ridiculous. Hopefully we can move past it, and get to a better place."

Brady acknowledges on his podcast he banged up the ring finger on his throwing hand pretty good Sunday. "It's just gonna be sore throughout the week."

They said the hearing is this week he can only miss this week it won’t be dragged. To next week

If Bowles is being honest and Brady is still in the building on Wednesdays just not throwing to rest his arm that turns this entire thing into a complete nonstory.

Some people look for anything and everything that can to knock him down.
