Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

I can't watch when my teams are getting kicked to the curb. I had went to bed at half time in the SB against the Falcons and switched the channel at Bucs playoff game with the Rams. But was able to see the comeback in the 4th quarter.

Fortunately it has been few and far between.

Unfortunately for the Pats, with no star players on offense they will be in purgatory he'll at 7-10 to 10-7 for the foreseeable future. Not much to get excited for and no players on offense to stat watch.

Bucs are the team to watch in 2022 for another SB run and have record breakers in Gronk, Evans, and Brady. They should still be good in 2023 and maybe 2024. They'll have to tank and rebuild in 2025/2026, but maybe the Pat's will be a true contender by then.

This is by definition bandwagonism. Not only are you following multiple teams, but you give up in the middle of a game when your teams are down.

Just like last year.... Next year you will predict the Dolphins to win it all.

Bucs may not even win their division with the Saints adding Olave, Penning, and Matthieu and effectively adding Michael Thomas and Jameis Winston. They are also playing a murderer's row of teams.
I said injuries would be the only thing to get in their way of a repeat. It was.

Right, because NVM the fact that the Rams were missing Andrew Whitworth and Robert Woods in the Divisional Game vs Tampa. And NVM that the Bucs lost to the Rams with almost no major injuries in their meeting earlier in the year.

Also, the fact that Chiefs were missing their starting two tackles in the super bowl makes no difference to you.

So last year in the usual period of pre-Training Camp void all of the expert predictions in all of the magazines like Athalon and Sports Illustrated and all the online sites like ESPN and NBC Sports etc almost unanimously picked the Bucs to NOT repeat with the “logic” that since its so historically difficult for any NFL team to repeat that they won’t. Basically none predicted them to even win the NFC. And hey, they were technically right. It’s hard to keep healthy in particular and that was the bane of the Bucs season. But I’m telling you, I better not f.ucking see a consensus from these same people and outlets that this Rams team is gonna be the one to finally repeat because of reasons that somehow didn’t apply to Tom freaking Brady and the Bucs last season.

You bring up SB 42 all the time and you love to omit the fact that TB had a high ankle sprain and the Oline was ravaged by injuries as well lol so either use them as an excuse or not at all...to me they lost vs the Rams and they won vs KC it doesn't matter what happened. History only remembers the champion

He led two scoring drives in that game and didn't limp once. So why couldn't he score more than 17 points like he predicted he would? And if you watched Man in the Arena episode 4, you'd know that Brady said the Pats didn't play well on offense all playoffs in 2007.

Times caught cheating:
Bill: 1
Tom: 0

Record without each other:
Bill without Brady: 70-79, 1-2 in the playoffs. 29-58 vs .500 or better teams
Brady without Bill: 24-9, 5-1 in playoffs, 1 Super Bowl ring

Head to head:
Brady 1 Bill 0

Hmm maybe I should start my own sig for this stuff. Seems like the thing to do?

I know you are replying to the troll that I can't see but come on man. Bill was not caught he was ****ing around with the Jets and the league lost their mind. He got fined and it was way over the top and nothing more than the NFL showing him who's in charge as well as the rest of the owners sticking it to NE. It's an infraction yes but anyone that actually believes that there was some secret library of illegal recordings that led to wins should have their heads examined. Everyone was trying to decode signals, it's part of the game. He disregarded a memo and gave a BS comment to the NFL about it and was basically burned alive for it.

Both Spygate and Deflate gate were a bunch of BS

100%. Anyone who wants to be a fan and just **** on NE then I'm alright with that but anyone who seriously starts spewing garbage about either of those and they immediately go on my list of stupid people and I just nod my head. We've all had to listen to such BS at parties I'm sure.

Lol you were super pro Brady during deflategate looking back at the thread 7 years ago

Enjoying my first Ignore Poster!

I made no mistake, I simply and attempting to bring a sense of reason to the discussion. The people you describe as haters are impatiently petulant and ignorant. Time and again in this thread specifically, posters have celebrated Patriots shortcomings and failures. Perhaps it's to feel self-satisfied over switching allegiance to Tampa Bay or out of spite for Brady not finishing his career in New England, or both. But to suggest everyone here would be thrilled to see New England win a title sans Brady doesn't fly, especially for those who've proclaimed being done with the NFL when Tom retires.

Your question makes no sense. Do you think someone having a "label" would've made a difference? Lack of publicly acknowledged titles doesn't mean coaches weren't running the defense. As I said, the Patriots have done quite well in the past without assistant coaches in coordinator roles officially labeled as such.
The question was more of a joke.

You said titles weren't important and pointed out how last season the defense didn't have a defacto DC.

It's a funny punchline that the pats had the worst defensive performance ever last season in that playoff loss.

I do ultimately agree with you, Josh McDaniels didn't have the title of OC with his first year coaching that role.

In fact, I like that Belicheck handles it that way. He gives assistant coaches the chance to prove themselves instead of just giving them the promotion right away

Bucs point out that Tom Brady can become the first NFL quarterback to start and win regular-season games in four different countries, adding Germany to this current list of the United States, England and Mexico.

Tom Brady has fared well internationally: -- beat the Bucs in London in 2009, throwing 3 TDs in a 35-7 Patriots win. -- beat the Rams in London in 2012, throwing 4 TDs in a 45-7 Patriots win. -- beat the Raiders in Mexico City in 2017, throwing 3 TDs in a 33-8 Patriots win.
