I don't know Patriots fans fascination with loading up on junk picks late in the draft (ToM BrAdYY wAs A sIxtH roUnD cOmP piCk). This is. a team that outside of QB, RB, and safety could use an infusion of talent at any other spot on the roster and we traded back for some mid round picks. I don't like it and would rather have taken my chances on McDuffie at 21.

Who did you want? If he's there at 29, will you admit it was a great trade?

I would rather have someone who should start day one than stock up on depth guys. Obviously I don't know more than Bill and the staff but this roster needs youth and talent at almost any spot on the roster. Throw a dart at a dartboard with different positions listed and there is a solid chance whatever position the dart lands on a guy picked at 21 would start. I just want day one starters and not a potential starter at some point and a couple depth guys for a year or two.

But depth is what wins, get one standout and you’re good until he’s hurt then you’re hosed. pats have won consistently because of a solid middle class not because of stars.

They are going to announce at the end of round 1 that the Jete hand fired Saleh and hired the first trans HC. They wanted to announce it when they picked at 4 but there was a contract negotiation about whether Peyton has to actually have surgery or just identify.

They have no real number 1 WR, they lost Gilmore and Jackson in the secondary and have an agony McCourty in that position group. They lost a good lineman they really should replace.

They have holes.

They filled the holes.
And there's no such thing as a 1 WR. That's a fantasy football position; it doesn't exist on a roster.
