This looks like a nice trade for both teams if Vernon excels opposite Garrett.

If anybody can keep this knucklehead under control, it's the Pats. He still has a ton of talent at a position of need. I don't think this is indicative of their plans for Flowers but rather probably signals the end for Claybourn.
Now come back, Marty, and let's set the record for most twins on a Super Bowl winning team!
Ah i stand corrected. Set of brothers or siblings will sufficeI don't think they're twins, and we had two sets of twins last year (although they were on IR), but I still like the sentiment.
A team that missed the playoffs last year and hasn’t won a SB in 11 years will only trade players to non-contenders. What an amazingly savvy team.
They seem to think they're better than every other franchise just because they're tied for the most rings.
Berrios? I don't think so.Berrios has shown absolutely nothing.
Yes Cousin, That trade makes too much sense. Green is 31 and the last year of his contract. This is the scenario where BB makes plenty of deals. I'd rather be trading for a little longer deal if I give up a pick, but even last year a 3rd for Shelton. I think he played better late but he is a FA now. I would resign him. Revis was kind of the same deal. He swoops in when many Teams won't do a "rental".Maybe bb can call the bengals again and try to pry green out of there?

Green is about $5mm under OBJ and AB but his production was stellar until he hurt a toe last year and was operated on. Contract, age and injury concerns might be a gamble for the Pats and good reason for the brand new Bengals coach to bring in his guys.
Cincinnati has eleven picks but six are in Rounds six and seven.
You can't beef up your roster with 55% of your Draft class on the bottom end.
They also have a ridiculous $47,776,135 CAP space. I am not building the Bengals roster but their FO has to get their head out of their A**. They need more talent than just Green.
I am throwing out a gruesome scenario where the Past pick up two Bengals for one of our 2nd Round picks, Besides Green, we take the flopero 1st rounder Ross (he did get 7 TDs last year which is more than any of our WR). That frees up enough added space for the Bengals to make a splash. Now the Bengals get OBJ with their added Draft capital and sign the best LB in FA Jordan Hicks to establish a weak LB corps.
BB likes reclamation projects. We lacked speed at WR. Just a hunch Ross can be better than Patterson, Hogan or Dorsett.
If we get Gordon back you have JE, Gordon and Green while perhaps salvaging Ross. I think Jameson Crowder is a less expensive hit than Tate and he returns punts so less wear and tear on JE. He's only 26 and very Deon Branch like. A trade and one middle of the road FA addition and you don't have to pay a high end WR in FA and can concentrate of other spots in the Draft.
How about a 3rd Bengal addition in perhaps an inexpsevie FA with risk? TE Tyler Eifert? When healthy he has pro bowl ability. Is he now healthy?
To round out FA and Trades we have an aging Safety corps and not one that makes plays albeit steady. Tyrann Mathieu is only26.
But my most compelling FA pick up is Henry Anderson at DT.
RESIGNS:
Resign Flowers would be superb.....but....
Resign Gostkowski, Ryan Allen, John Simon, Shelton J.McCourty for cheap and Jeremy Hill to our RB group. He showed enough before injured at 236lbs can be the hammer and only 26.

Didn’t win their first playoff game until 1972. Only made the playoffs once between 1933-1971 despite being in a 5 or 6 team division during most of that period. In 1971, Cardinals fans would console themselves by saying, “at least we’re not the Steelers.”Six titles since 1933. They did have one little gap from 1933-1974 when they won zero titles even though for much of the time there were like five real NFL teams. They are historically somewhat of a laughingstock behind Green Bay, Chicago, and NYG, who all have way more championships. In almost 90 years of existence, they won the bulk of their titles in one six year stretch from 74-79.
What a franchise.
So, the best that the Steelers were able to do was a 2019 3rd round and 5th round pick for Antonio Brown. This after the swore they weren't going to accept anything less than a 1st round pick PLUS. And the Steelers have to eat 21M on the cap this year..
Steelers to trade Antonio Brown to Raiders: Who won, who lost?
FA hasn't started yet. Monday starts the tampering period and Thursday is when players can officially sign.Does the fact the Pats didn't sign Tate yet pretty much ensure he isn't coming here? Or are they waiting?
I thought Wednesday.FA hasn't started yet. Monday starts the tampering period and Thursday is when players can officially sign.
