Yes, because clearly the Deflategate investigation and sanctioning was done entirely above board, and there was nothing outrageously suspicious about the whole thing. Surely the Pats are the one team that's ever maybe committed a small procedural infraction, and there was nothing at all out-of-the-ordinary about how the league conducted a sting operation to 'catch' the Pats doing something that even they acknowledged they never cared about prior to that day. And surely their resorting to pretending that the Ideal Gas Law is merely a 'theoretical concept' doesn't speak to a clear agenda by the league office to find what it wanted to find.

Surely that's why a respected circuit judge in NY, even accounting for the deference that is commonly afforded to arbitration awards, still felt compelled to vacate Brady's punishment.

If we're conspiracy theorists in this, it's only because there was an actual conspiracy. It's been all but proven at this point, and it's par for the course with Goodell. Saints fans can attest to that.

We've certainly become that way, though it happens when you are the victim of an actual conspiracy. I do wish we'd stop looking for something nefarious under every rock because it gives national media and fans an excuse to ignore the more legitimate critiques of DFG.

That NYT article was brought up before. It hinges on a survey conducted by the author that asks 3 questions to judge how knowledgeable surveyors are about deflategate, as well as their position and team loyalty. We're still waiting to hear what the three questions are.

    1. You realize Manning is better than Brady, and it's just the system, right?
    2. Has there ever been a more disgusting, dishonest person than Belichick?
    3. Are you aware that Judge Berman attends parties with his buddy, Bob Kraft?

Apparently physics is a conspiracy theory now.

There really need to be more STEM requirements in schools.

I agree. Just reveling in how much the idiocracy obsesses about the Pats. And the Pats... just keep on winning. So they all... can suck it.

I'm sure we can find a Times articles from the 1930's to the effect of "Paranoid Jews think someone's out to get them."

I remember heated conversations about this way back in January. It's more than just PV=nRT, we can only guess at what the initial room temperature and ball pressures were before the start of the game. Anyway, the NFL accepts that deflation took place naturally on the field, thus why 3 of 4 Colts balls came in under 12.5psi. The NFL switched gears and decided the Colts balls deflated naturally, while the Pats balls deflated too much. The NFL and Exponent study uses the Ideal Gas Law, it just fudges with the numbers on the initial measurements and the use of Walt Anderson's logo and non-logo personal gages.

If the substance of deflategate is ever revisited in some kind of legal setting I would like to see monetary awards towards STEM education.

    Let's see...

    - Footballs deflated according to levels expected in physics (including Dolts balls)
    - No conversations reported or recorded ordering a deflation of balls

Yet, the theory is that someone took a bag of balls into a bathroom and deflated all of them in less than 90 seconds, directed by TFB who ensured that there was no digital or signals record of this, to ensure that he would perform at a level slightly below his capabilities.

And WE are the conspiracy theorists?

"Of course, Patriots fans are the outlier among NFL fans. Even with Brady's suspension lifted by a judge on appeal, most NFL fans believe that Brady broke the rules in someway -- this coming from a poll conducted by the New York Times."

Indeed we ARE the only ones proven correct in not being so stupid and gullible as to believe the lies coming out of Goodell's mouth

Now that we have been proven correct, one would think that other fans and those in the media would be feeling stupid. Now they're just deluding themselves.

What a horrible article. It's basing its opinion on deflategate on polls rather than facts and evidence.

On one side, the NY Times has polls, a notorious science firm with dozens of articles written by renowned scientists criticizing them for manipulating their work for their clients, a lawyer who used hyperbolic humorous banter between two guys about their penises and testicles as evidence of a scheme while being paid $5 million, an ESPN lawyer who was disbarred 30 years ago, and Roger Goodell who has essentially been called a liar by three different federal judges in just the past year.

On the other side, we have a Nobel Leaureate in chemistry, an Ivy League dean, a renowned DC think tank, a famous Climate Scientist who was named one of the 50 most influential people in the world, the lawyer/investigator who was hired by MLB to investigate Pete Rose because he was the best in his field, a famous criminal attorney interviewed by 60 minutes, the head and founder of a lab associated with Carnegie Melon, countless physics professors and esteemed attorneys, and a federal judge.

    Hmmm.... who to believe...

When is it not paranoia? When it's true.
