This has an opening post with good commentary and information, which we definitely recommend reading.

Gronk used to do the same thing.
Agreed. DeAndre Hopkins was too last week (repeatedly). It is great Harry learned the technique. Some posters are so soft. A good thing to remember on the PatsFans message board - football is a contact sport

Lemme guess, the Harry, Bill the GM never makes a bad pick crowd thinks Harry's an all pro bc he caught a TD where he clearly pushed off?

Off topic but... I try to avoid cartoonifying different opinions to mine. I think it's a huge problem in today's political landscape, and to begin fixing it we need to tackle this in all aspects of our lives, even the smallest ones.

Back on topic... nobody is putting him in Canton. There are however lots of us paying attention to see if he can at least become a serviceable player. Anything more at this point is gravy.

No question he's underperformed to date. Yet in the red zone, both last year and this year, he's done fairly well when given the chance. It seems like his low utilization is at least partly to blame for his lack of production. There's a strange mismatch between his role on the field and his strengths. More red zone targets are in order. He's made some tough TD catches in his brief career.

Why? What's the issue with Chatham?
Matt Chatham posts pictures and videos that show the receivers with separation and mentions that perhaps it isn't the receiver it might be the qb. This throws the BB sucks and can't draft a wr crew into a tizzy because they hate their narrative to be challanged. So instead of saying they disagree and putting some effort into disproving what he shows, they call him names.

He's a total Belichick rump-swab, and thinks he's the bees' knees because of it, and if you've never played the game at his level then you just don't know and how dare you even begin to question the almighty genius that is Bill Belichick, perhaps the greatest man to ever walk the face of the earth...He has Zero objectivity and his opinion therefore means Nothing.

Wrong, but thanks for playing.

I mean, who can argue with analysis like this?

Right. That must be why his snap counts have fallen throughout the season (started off getting greater than 80% of snaps and now hovering in the 50s even though he’s a good run blocker and we’re running the ball more). You know... because it’s 100% on the quarterback. Poor N’Keal. He’s an absolute stud if only Cam would throw to him more. A true diamond in the rough. Any day now he will break out. It must also be why Meyers has thoroughly taken his reps and his routes that he was running earlier in the year. But he says things that the BB-can-do-no-wrong crowd likes to hear (not naming names, of course), so he’s great for them. In reality, he’s a local nobody and being a fart sniffer for the team is a big reason why.

It's most probably a combination of the two things. Harry's numbers wouldn't be so grim if we had a more competent passer and a stronger passing game, but even comparing apples to apples, he's struggled to take reps from Meyers and Byrd, and for good reason.

I'm just a dude on a message board though, so what do I know?

His analysis is “he would have more catches if he had more perfectly thrown balls come his way”. I guess you would need to have played the game to come up with insight like that.

He was a LB and a special teamer in the NFL. Not sure if you heard or not.

Kontra, even someone from Worchester must be able to figure this out. Their qb can't throw more than 5 yards with any accuracy. Harry is not a little quick run 5 yards and get open wr. At some point the qb has to take some of the blame. Even you, through your Brady colored glasses has to understand that. Why play Harry when Cam simply isn't able to throw to him. It doesn't mean Harry is bad, because good god Cam sure is.

Since you obviously didn't play, let me explain it to you. Cam sucks. Cam can't throw the ball. Cam is the problem. Must really hurt when you guys see the Patriots with a historically bad qb within a game of TomPa with the All Madden Super All Star team that was assembled to showcase the GOAT.

Are you under the impression I’m happy Tom is in Tampa? I most certainly am not. He should’ve been a Patriot as long as he wanted to play.

He could have been but chose not to. I don't fault him at all. Sad he did, but probably for the best.

Tom never wanted to leave, but chose to because he wanted to get paid and/or the offense didn't fit his skill set due to Bill not doing a good job restocking the WR/TE positions. Last year was the nail in the coffin signing retreads who all got cut/traded, brining back an unreliable Gordon (and cutting him), drafting one f***ing WR in a DEEP class, cutting Brown, then trading a 2nd round for Sanu. Tom had no choice but to leave if he wanted a chance to succeed as he only has so much time left.

Bill failed Tom flat out.

Tom left because he didn't want to play for less on a reloading team and he was correct to go, Tampa is an all-star team and they could afford to pay him 50 million. The Patriots needed a year to reset their cap after going all in to win multiple championships to end Tom's NE career, why don't we celebrate what they accomplished instead of showing our entitlement and ignorance in bemoaning why Tom left.

N'Keal Harry leads all Patriots WR's in TD's, of course one was from Stidham... who threw Gunner his only TD also. Cam stinks at throwing, runs well... but not much of a thrower. That's a lot more probable than Meyers having talent one week, Byrd having it the next, Harry the next and Gunner miraculously can catch a well thrown ball from Jarrett but his magically talent disappears when Cam is in there.

Receiving weapons without a good passer are like a chainsaw with no gas... it makes a great paperweight.
